be careful - brake fluid will strip paint as well, so if the stickers are on a painted surface, you probably don't want to try it.

Good interview. Nice to hear your boss and his thoughts on AI. 👌 I'm still waiting to hear what people are actually doing and using with AI in service management. Like you say, a lot of talk and not enough action, but what examples can people give of good, tried and tested uses of AI.

Thanks for listening! Glad you enjoyed the episode. You’re right-AI needs to move from talk to action. One solid example in Service Management is using AI to automate repetitive tasks like ticket summarization. What about you-seen any great use cases?

In Big Bang the character 'Howard' is an aerospace engineer at Caltech who has built parts for and been to the International Space Station, so in theory should have been able to fix a broken drone, but the underlying point is that it was brand new and should have been returned to the store or tech support called for help. Big Bang is a good show, but it does play to the stereotype that clever people are nerds who love Star Wars, Star Trek, Comic Books, D&D, Cosplay, and are socially awkward.

Those mics are so ugly.
@MattBeran6 ай бұрын
I have to agree! But I couldn't justify the time it takes to move my SM7b, microphone arm (mount to the couch?) and pull down a pre-amp, EQ and noisegate solution. What would you do?
@JJKoester6 ай бұрын
@@MattBeran I would justify the time. This is just the opinion of some dork who gives unsolicited feedback on the internet, so take it with a grain of salt. But, those mics damage trust from two directions. The first is that they look like the tool of a beginner who hasn't learned proper mic technique, degrading the audience's perception of your subject. The second problem is the big chunky logo. Did DJI pay for screen space to advertise their product? If not, you shouldn't be smashing their logo onto the screen. If so, you should disclose the sponsorship. Those mics do the kind of damage to trust that doesn't register in the frontal lobe and 99% of your viewers probably wouldn't be able to verbalize it if asked. But, the subconscious corrosion to trust is absolutely happening and very difficult to pull back from once the damage is done. I'm honestly gobsmacked that anyone even has those mics in their kits considering the damage they do to subconscious perception of the people using them.
@MattBeran6 ай бұрын
@@JJKoester I love that disclaimer! And great idea! I put stickers over the "Rode" on my microphone arm, so I should do the same to these mics! Yeah - I don't think I expect that level of trust from my audience (yet) - but I get your points. And while the extra 30 minutes to move and move back all the microphone stuff doesn't seem worth it to me (or my company) - I can probably come up with another solution like a USB Rode Podcaster or something similar.
