I will say that in nearly 40 years of role-playing, I have never seen a product as interesting and attention-grabbing as Household. I'm cursing myself that I am only just becoming aware of this game as well. So, my pledge is already dualistic in nature. Keep up the amazing work folks. I will watch the video of the livestream tomorrow after work.

I've loved all your work on Broken Compass, how does Outgunned differ from it, what mechanics are the same or what new mechanics have been introduced to really take Outgunned towards that cinematic rpg?

Only the very base mechanics of D6 pools and successes has remained the same, to be honest. OG characters can rely on feats, adrenaline, and spotlights, the Death Roulette is a great tool to add tension when a character is about to leave the scene. On top of that, they are trying to use Action Flicks and the new Genre Book to add tools and make the system modular, so you can pick and choose the elements that best suit your game and players

The map? It should be a roll-up parchment with a tube case. ...and with a pocket for token(s). @2LM I would be happy to dive into the design for that. I used to do that in the Army. We would need to discuss how "historic" it should look.

In fact, there should be a parchment overlay add-on to show mythic lair/temple locations and possible sunken islands.

Great to 'meet' Matt and hear his solo thoughts. Chuffed to bits about the Quack Tales stretch goal. Now I've got Roger Rabbit - or Roger Rabies! The Walking Dead inspired cartoon with once-lovable, frothing, maniac family pets. Or just Outgunned-TOON! Wacky Races etc… BTW: the map idea - finding a brilliant, period original - is excellent.

I got them too. I did run Project Medusa on Roll20. I enjoyed it, but some folks just don’t like “railroad” stories. Their loss. Directors Cut is a great system. I aim to pitch as a challenge sport. “Stick to 5th Edition D20 if you want easy and boring!” I am not ashamed to say that, but really, some folks need their Captain Crunch games.

I will say I love the Idea of the genre books. Especially with it being standalone but also compatible with the original Corebook. It reminds me of the Star Wars RPG from FFG. 3 Corebooks that you can pick up on their own but still compatible with each other. Its a absolutely fantastic and brilliant idea!

Can't wait for all this stuff. Here's a book title for you...Outgunned 2: The Sequelizer. 😁 A couple of different "Supers" genres could be cool. Something along the lines of "Punisher War Journal" would fit well, but there were often cameos with actual superheroes, like my fave Spider-Man. You could do the Golden Age to go along with Adventure, you could do a more modern genre, and then you could do a darker, 90's anti-hero heavy genre (not my favorite, but will appeal to others). I'd also love to see a Veritech/Mecha heavy genre akin to Robotech/Battletech/Transformers.

Wuxia is not our strong suit, but we worked hard on Rising Dragon AF and we've received a lot of kind words about it. Did you like the Flick?

Hi all. For what it was, I thought it was okay. But there is so much more to Wuxia than a few powers and chi. There is so much more to cover. Some of my favorite RPGs about Wuxia include Tianxia (FATE) which has an incredibly flexible martial arts system that combines various styles and allows players and gm’s to create their own style. Even Feng Shui’s style trees had more depth for such a rules light action game. This action flick feels shallow in comparison but for the page count, I couldn’t really fault it.

I came across your game quite by accident! The wonderful art captured me right away. The imagination conveyed in your videos is spectacular. I am looking forward to your game. It is the first time I have ever gone in on a Kickstarter................but I would like to see your vision brought to life. There are endless possibilities here...........future games going into perhaps steampunk eras. It is a whole different dimension! Thanks so much for going over this description. On the last page of Household Volume 1 (d6 system) it is written "outside the House the Outhold awaits". I expected that would be a possible extension of the Household world. Is there a chance this wish would come true?

It's confirmed that we are currently working on Household Volume II which will take us to the Outhold (Garden) of the House. We'll give you more info about that before the end of the year!
