Great, everything is just great--the tune, the fiddling style & dancing tempo! For me, the dance could be a slower polka or a Texas two-step. I listen to it quite often & dance around in my house.

I love watching this, I'm Welsh and wondered if there were standard steps that the dancers learn to start with, and them make up their own steps as they get better.

My Grandfather Daniels, born in December 1889, put a real old time fiddle style to this song and I play it the same way. LOL I dont' know another way to play it.

Well done men! Finally a fiddle tune that wasn't played at Mach 7 speed. I never understand why they are played so fast because it hides the melody. Also many players try and play too many notes which also hides a beautiful melody. This last line was made famous by Salieri in the movie Amadeus.

I didn't know what you meant about the Mach 7 players, until I checked some more on KZbin. Many! Seems like that would be the way to do it on a banjo. But Larry Rice does it the way I like best. That melody sings.
