Having friends that have lost there homes is such a devastating thing for them but we always thank god that it was wasn’t their life’s that were lost and nothing happening to them.

Men build linear canals. rivers are supposed to meander all over the land and nourish it. Land dries out makes heat. When rain comes, canal washes everything away very rapidly.

As a ride share driver for 8 years, driving the night shift in Los Angeles, I have never, even once, witnessed a street car racing, nor a single car racing through a full on red light..........UNTIL about 2 months ago. I now witness such situation almost on a daily basis during my shift. I had several instances where I sat at a red light waiting, when suddenly in mid circle, not even close to the light changing to green, a car literally sped through my red light at high speed in the lane next to me. Thank God cars crossing the green always were able to stop and I never had to witness a crash, but it left me with a feeling of shock and horror. Just yesterday in downtown Los Angeles around 1am on Hope/11th St, as I was waiting at the curb to pick up my passenger, a car literally "flew" through the full on red light at, I estimate 45-50 mph, through the intersection. I felt the air pressure of the car moving my car. My passenger was about to enter my car and we were both in utter shock. In Los Angeles this is now a daily occurrence. I no longer assume a light turning green as "safe to start driving ". I still look around to make sure there is no car coming. I also no longer see any green light, even in mid term, is a truly safe sign for me to pass the intersection, even at small streets. My foot is literally hovering above the brake at every single traffic light, so I would be possibly able to avert an idiot crossing the intersection right in front of me. It is a new habit I adapted since witnessing such instances. I still think it is safer to drive at night, because I find it easier to spot a car with its lights on. People, please be safe out there. We have a lot of criminals driving our streets. Yes, I use the term "criminals" for reckless drivers. They should be locked up for a long long time.

Habit Burger parking lot? so, does that mean the Honda wanted to enter Sherman way east bound from Super King Way when their traffic light had turned green? are you implying the street racing Rolls + Mercedes ran the red light on Sherman Way (west bound) at Van Nuys?
