How did cope with jetlag?

It's hard to do this with kids. But adults can easily streamline everything. I plan out what I'll take. I travel only with a carry-on bag and a day bag. It's perfect.

Tell us about the downsides too! How do you work it out, when the pencils fell off, the whole "activities pack" is on the floor after a harder breaking situation? (Keeping seatbelts fastened, of course). Did you try anytime without personal electronics? Besides the "doggy bags" +1 idea: I use quart size plastic buckets with a perfect lid (reused packaging of cottage cheese, sour cream, etc.) to contain the ”returning by-products" and the smells as long as we reach a safe place to stop and get rid of it.

Folding flat was the original method before rolling or mari-kondo style became popular. Still, will give it a try again. I think a mixture is good, not only one or the other. Flat need some flipping through to see what's under & can mess things up. Rolling/Mari-kondo styles are great for seeing most of what's in the cube at a glance. Thanks for experimenting :)

Ok... So i have severe travel anxiety particularly about traveling internationally. Maybe ive heard too many true crime stories or watched taken too many times but im petrified. Anyone have advice for that? Cuz it looks like so much fun and i want to do it but im legit so freakin scared which kinda just makes me mad at myself like "just do it" ya kno? But i cant. Is it safe? I moving from Florida to Wisconsin via Georgia (for 1.5 years). My daughter married a Wisconsin boy, and they moved there. I'm not missing out on grandkids and family time. After several visits, I'm surprised how much I like it. And, the people are sooooooo nice. Wish me luck. I'm so glad your happy to be back home. ❤

You gotta do what you gotta do. But I hate traveling somewhere and not eating the local food. I don't eat out much when I'm home, so I want to splurge on food when I'm on vacation.

Florida native here strongly considering a move to Wisconsin in the next year or two. I have family in Chicago, so I’ve spent a good amount of time in the midwest including a few times in Wisconsin and always just felt more at home in that region. Florida’s just getting more expensive and hot. I’ve spent enough time in the cold to know it doesn’t bother me or scare me. Thanks for giving this perspective! We’ll see what happens.
