The amount of information in this video is astounding! Especially for those new to trapping! Ive been trapping 30 years and im shocked how much I learned from just this video! Years ago you couldn't get info like this because nobody wanted to give away their "secrets", because of what fur brought in price and how long and hard it is to learn all this valuable information. Thank you Tom, excellent video!

You're too kind.. these vids were made back when I was in my late 20's --1985 and some of the very first how to trap vids ever made for sale. Thanks for the kind words-TomM

@AdventureBowhunter I just wish I would have found this year's ago! Would have saved me year's of trial and error as I was for the most part self taught. You've done a great deal of good for the trapping community over your career and I for one appreciate it!

Tom, you're the King of instruction videos . I'm 60 yrs old and been trapping 48 years. And I have watching videos for the last couple of years and seeing nothing really that I didn't already know. But you're videos always have a tip that I've either forgotten, or that I'd never knew!.

Great hunt Tom really enjoy watching the videos I’ve been a fan of yours since I was a kid about 12 now I’m 36 years old. I would love to start the super slam. We will see where this journey takes me. I have been just hunting whitetail my whole life but now I want to move to bigger and better things before I get too old.

Living in Texas I have see quite a few Audad and killed a few but I have to tell you that Audad you killed has one of the best chaps I ever seen. That in itself makes it a great trophy . Great job and a good show.

Whats the best way to get an accurate gage as to weather a ram is legal? I thought the rule of thumb is if you can draw a line from the tip of the horn to the base of the horn and the line is in front of the eye then it's legal. Forgive me but this ram looks shorter than that.
@AdventureBowhunter6 ай бұрын
There is never a perfect side view in the video to actually determine the true size of the rams horns & one side is broomed as well. The ram was much more than legal scoring 163--0/8 P&Y. 140P&Y is minimum 180 is B&C. TomM

@AdventureBowhunter awesome thanks very much, so basically just study the target animal a lot before taking the shot. Great video and amazing animal by the way they certainly do give us an easy hunt.
