This was when the writers really knew the characters, the motivations. The writing was character-driven over plot-driven. Real depth and meaning to scenes and conversations. This story arc was really infuriating. Matt married Sarah for all the wrong reasons. He shouldn’t have made himself so desperate for a wife that we will to a religion that denies Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. You’d think he would have learned that growing up in a Christian household. What he and Sarah had was lust, not love. For his sake, I hope he at least became a Jew for Jesus because Christ-deniers are destined for Hell.

When Nikolas said they didn’t plan for this to happen, and Lucky said he doesn’t even know what that means. I love that line. It gets said a lot with affairs, like that makes any difference. I loved Lucky’s dismissal of that explanation.
