As a member of the relocated grandparents due to grandkids group my wife and I arrived in Noblesville in 2021 from what we thought would be a permanent retirement gig in Arizona. In the last three years living on the NW side of Noblesville we have been witness to a phenomenal growth spurt, quite similar to what we witnessed in Mesa Arizona in 2013-2021. My only concern has been I hope there are sufficient bodies to occupy all the houses/townhomes/condos being built. The growth has been incredible for sure. Farming has been traded for roofs at a mind boggling rate. The reason I am here is because of the blowback regarding the Mayor’s comments about senior residents needing to move away from their homes on Morse reservoir. I had to listen to him myself without influence of what I was being told. My takeaway is if you had a chance to ask the Mayor, in person, he likely would tell you he should have phrased his idea much differently. That being said I don’t think he is advocating at all to throw folks out of their house on the lake. What I believe he meant is for folks in my position to have an opportunity to move to housing more in line with their stage in life. Quite a few of my neighbors in my development are relocated from living along the shore of Morse. They have voiced directly to me the lack of high end housing, aka exactly what he is advocating. A few of my neighbors downsized considerably. The proof is in what their garage looks like, ie. no room for the car. Merry Christmas folks.

As a recent buyer, I totally disagree. I don’t want to see the family pictures. It increases the feeling that the home belongs to someone else and that I’m intruding.
