First, thank you. This is a song we play at church and I had been trying to figure out the baseline. Pretty cool. Second, when you said that if your not hitting the key notes you wouldn't play with the other guy? Yeah, that did sound kind of bad. Pricked my heart because my sense of timing needs a lot of work. I'm sure glad my praise team leader is a patient man, more patient than I deserve. I can play the bass but I need work that's why I'm here. I'm glad I found you. The Lord is very good. Wow I just saw this I am 71 yoa I am learning a lot by chords and by ear,My desire is to learn so I can play in nursing homes to draw folks back to our father,I am so in need of help seems like I can not find any one in church I feel like I’m stuck .I don’t know how to read music but by chords I’ve learn songs like There is a river but it seems like I am missing a lot in that song as well as all the other songs I play. That is my prayer but it seems like satan is blocking my way for help. Thanks I truley love Gospel songs I pray all the time for Gods to give me this talent ,not for show but for ministry

Quit being one of those teachers who been playing all your life so thinks everyone else can just catch right on so you hurry the lesson. Some of us just started playing gospel.

I don't get it. Maybe I need to watch it a few more times. I must be missing something. Really I can't see what your hands are doing and you're not specific enough on what notes you are playing. Can I get sheet music somewhere. It is so much easier for me than someone trying to show me.

Thank you for use of repetition and going slowly. It helps me to have confidence that I can do this.
