All that work and eventual some ding batt torched it. Everything nice in that yard that srays someone always burns. I remember some heavy weight MOW equipment and camp cars in the midd 90s got torched too.

Scrap of the STM started in 2009
@danielfantino17142 жыл бұрын
Scrap started with LFS. For years they had those painful brakes squelling at every stop that could be ear hundred feet away, day and night. Suspension is so hard on bad Montréal ´s street. It´s banging terribly. Is it a bus made for carrying people or a freight trailer ? Uneven floor is perfect for elderly people fall. Mini hard seats. The folding ones means more sardines sorry, paying passengers to be squeezed in ! I took those shits twice in my life. Sorry. I loved the CC&F / Brill. Far more roomy and confortable even if heating was weak. The New Look were fantastic. The Classic despite early frame rusting were good. I took all these daily for years. Then LFS arrived. Now i stay in my car. Even if you pay me to embark in these anything but a bus, i´ll stay in my car. They should be send from builder straight to scrapper. Anyway that´s where they will end anyway. Not saying a word about price tag. It was said in the 50's and 60's that for GM to sell more cars, it makes crappy bus. I wonder what those saying that would say about those waste of materials and public money ? May be Volvo, the parent´s company think that we´ll buy their cars ? Well if Volvo is proud of these things, sure i´ll never buy one of their car ! I don´t want to burst bubble of young fans, but if you loved them it means you never got a chance to ride far more confortable city bus before your birth !

I live near there and every late evening i would see switching action then a train leaving and crossing Conroy. Now- very rare. Although did catch the CP 150 anniversary train there. Got some real nice shots there also until 3 days later and there were cops everwhere like someone robbed a bank

D'awww...... I was really hoping to see an LRC engine. :(
@michaelmenard60886 жыл бұрын
Nice. I'll most likely hear the engine reving up when it leaves. Where do you find the info on arriving and departing trains from Walkley yard? And do you happen to know what happened to the CP bud car in your video? I haven't even seen 2 locos attached together at this yard or a train of significant size pull on or leave in forever. Man I remember as a kid in the late 70's and early 80's growing up in Carlsbad Springs having the line running in my back yard and spending so many hours watching the trains go by. And many trains a day. VIA and CN. BTW, love how you put "Au champ de l'alouette" in there. I hadn't heard that song since my Dad played that on his guitar by the camp fire when I was a kid. Hope you got more videos to post. I love them.

no, just a dumb tourist there at least twice when trespassing'd occur right in front of me...crossing was an issue for one of them, he had to wait to be sure and so I'd tried talking him out of it

Such a damn shame. Used to be tonnes of action at this yard. Now just a bunch of Milwaukee Central hoppers rotting away and a tired locomotive.
@chriscarlson96576 жыл бұрын
Hey Michael i can give u some inside scoop on whats going at the Yard
@michaelmenard60886 жыл бұрын
I can try. It's mostly the O train that is operated out of that yard for city commuter service and a little bit of lumber being shipped from there to.
