Those flags are there because they were allies of Poland. Under Germany there are the flags of USSR and the puppet of Slovakia, which were allied against Poland.

If you include the prisoners in the casualty figures for the Axis, Axis casualties are over 600,000. 100,000 was lost in the first battle alone and 250,000 was lost in Tunisia. Total killed and wounded for the Allies was only at 50,000. The person who made this video is either an i d i o t, or dishonest. Which is it?

A shameful invasion, conceived by incompetents, launched with a ridiculous planning elaborated in a few days. It was ordered haphazardly by Mussolini in mid-October, because he was envious of Hitler's occupation of Romania. The strategy of the general at the head of the Balkan theater Visconti Prasca was simply to order the available Italian troops to suddenly advance into the mountains to take the Greeks by surprise, even if all the divisions were understaffed due to winter leave, the battalions of support, logistics were missing, and the Greeks had been preparing for months. Practically the Italians were sent to the massacre, in total disorganization, in the belief that the Greeks would throw down their weapons only because they were facing a much more powerful nation. The Italian air force was used badly, without coordination on the ground, only to bomb random targets with little tactical contribution. The Italian fleet that could have carried out an amphibious landing was not even involved in the operations. And after this brilliant plan failed, Mussoloni found no other ideas than to send new recruits to the front, new waves of frontal attacks, hoping that sooner or later the Greeks would run out of bullets and be overwhelmed by the human horde. Basically the tactic the Russians use, how sad.

The Russians didn’t fight so badly; if that were the case, they wouldn’t have defeated Germany and its allies
@MRCKRMN15 күн бұрын
@@begisss Of course, the video shows that the Italians also ultimately fought off the Greeks and won. But they won with the help of the Germans and still suffered many casualties. So despite the "victory" the bad impression is evident. Now, the Soviets have suffered almost 27 million victims, the Third Reich arrived in four months on the outskirts of Moscow and did not go further mainly due to its own strategic errors and logistical difficulties. All this while the Third Reich was already busy fighting on many fronts, countering the Allied air raids on its factories, the Allied naval blockade, with the lack of raw materials and hydrocarbons. The Soviets fought against an enemy already crippled, already weakened, and still suffered insane losses and in the end were able to carry out a counter-offensive only because Germany had to move enormous resources to the West to try to repel the Anglo-American invasion from the Atlantic . And this counteroffensive was carried out by sending wave after wave of men to the massacre. I don't think it's something to brag about.
@begisss15 күн бұрын
@@MRCKRMN Needless to say, of the 27 million casualties, 18 million of them were civilians who were systematically exterminated by the Nazis. Of course, Germany reached the outskirts of Moscow in 4 months, but how long did they plan to capture Moscow? for 3 months, if I'm not mistaken, from the very beginning of the invasion, Germany was experiencing difficulties, because here and there the Russians launched a counterattack, which forced the Germans to resort to defense. The Soviets fought an enemy who was in the prime of his life, and not crippled, as you write, should I remind you that up to 70% of all Wehrmacht divisions were always on the eastern front? The Allies landed in France in 44, when the Red army had already liberated its lands and inflicted damage on the enemy from which it could no longer recover, it is simply ridiculous to compare what the Anglo-Americans did with what the Soviets did. By the way, the ratio of Soviet and German losses is about 1.3 to 1, it doesn't even come close to what you write "wave after wave", as if the Soviets had numerical superiority throughout the war and they constantly sent new people to storm. After all, it is simply ignorant to equate the Italian army with the Soviet army.

Italy made the same mistake as Britain not enough man power or weaponry production the only thing is British forces were well trained and what they did have was somewhat high quality so when Britain did finally get prepared they could turn the tide Italy didn't get the chance as british and American troops had began invading them by 1943 in other words Italy was a great Britain from Walmart
