Why everyone is using black background for instructions? Not able to see the lines and points clearly. Useless video if you cant see the lines during instructions.

Update March 2024 : For me as far as USB CAC readers, it work with scr3310 (rounded in shape) but will not with the SCR331 (square in shape). The SCR331 does not get detected, Google both and look at the images for better understanding on rounded vs squared.

Lost me at 2:41 when you selected that strange icon, then changed the grid status. No way could I figure out how to replicate that. Not that good of a tutorial.

Thank you so much for making this video. Ever since I grew frustrated with my Windows OS during my MOB in Kuwait, I've decided to finally change my Windows 10 Home edition to Linux POP!_OS. After I did all that, I've dowloaded most of the programs I had in my previous OS. The last thing I needed to do before I feel I got everything was to install a CAC reader program. I've looked through several websites, but they were confusing and somewhat unhelpful. So I decided to look it up on KZbin and, to my surprise, I've found this gem of a video. - SPC Briceno (U.S. Army)

Followed step-by-step and got the "Unable to add module" error. Path is: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pkcs11/opensc-pkcs11.so and I even went and browsed my way to it..same outcome. Any enlightenment will be greatly appreciated.

What’s your solution for CAC-login RDP on Linux? This seems to be the way that access is going, and I’ve never had much luck with Remmina or any other Linux software for that.

I wish I could help, ensure to use only one of the two files then copy and paste the entire path to the "Module filename" field. /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pkcs11/opensc-pkcs11.so or /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opensc-pkcs11.so otherwise use the "Browse" bottom and click "+ other locations" --> "computer" --> usr --> lib -- > x86_64-linux-gnu ---> opensc-pkcs11.so.

This was one of the best tutorials I've seen. Quick and dirty. Needed some simple drawings and this got me there. They aren't perfect, but they should work. Now I have a good base to make better drawings. Thank-you. I wish you had more on different programs.

It's all very well to make a short video, but you have tried to pack 2 hours worth of material in, and it's way too fast. Disappointing.

Hey, thanks for commenting. I myself, like fast paste tutorials: programming, linux, CAT, networking, etc. If I need to stop it or rewind a small section I do it. Overall, I like instructors that go straight to the point and start teaching. They help me learn faster. So this was my way of giving back. I Freely receive knowledge thru KZbin so I freely give knowledge. I love the platform, and there a tutorials everything for everyone. Cheers

It's great that you created an index for reference....because you speed through everything so utterly fast that you have rewatch each section ten times. I really wish people who do these types of help videos would slow down and understand that the people are watching this are new and therefore need, slow, methodical explanations.

The library came with the program (LibreCAD 2.1.3). I use Linux, so I downloaded the program via Software Manager (like a google store). To get to my library, I clicked Widgets/Dock Widgest/Library Browser. Then I opened plan/architect.
