Does anyone else find Workplanes and Models Views too invasive to productivity? My beams end up offset from known levels and it would seem a pain to create and change many different levels.

I used advanced steel, when it ran of the back of Autocad and when they tried it as standalone program. Both versions were rubbish and didn’t run properly and full of errors and bugs. Nothing worked in a logical way. It looks like Autodesk has saved them.

Hi Rob, what’s the file format that you “ATTACHED”?

3D sketch rails were completely ignored on my end. This program also does not like organic shapes. I have tried now, twice, to project some circles onto an irregular surface and from that, either add to the surface, or cut holes into it, only to have the program repeatedly react with error messages. "No meaningful geometry", "too large a topological change"... yada flippin' yada. Embossing didn't work, and sculpting did not work, either.

what is the difference between an acad profile.arg file, and acad cuix file? i have acad lt 2011 at work, and it is not showing me a profile, but a workspace, are they the same?

Hi, you talked about editing macros without deleting any joint boxes but can you delete an element inside a macro while keeping the joint box intact? I have a railing where I want the end posts to stop under the bottom of a middle rail. I set the middle rail to continous which breaks the post, I then need a way to remove the section of the post thats inbetween the middle rail and top rail. I then want to add a loop to connect the top and middle rails. Thanks for the video!

Suppose you create a new profile, make it current, press OK and close the options dialogue box. But now you have decided to go ahead and add a tool to the QAT, or, change a sysvar. Are you required to create a whole new profile to capture the change? I do not see a menu item for updating the profile.
