Great tutorial! I never used to tweak my motion blur settings. That was a big eye opener for me. Also the Random Noise Pattern setting... I've been rendering all wrong. Hahaha. Thanks for the knowledge!

Great content 🙏🏻 Quick question, I can freeze displacement in render view, but when it comes to the actual render and I get constant geometry updates on every frame before rendering starts, is there a way to stop that happening?

You can hit the snowflake with the G on it in the Production render. If you are using Bucket you'll need to use the snowflake and Snowflake with G. But I actually have to check because IPR is different than Production rendering. Good question

Jo thats a very cool update to redshift! I totally missed this one! One question: can we render out with RT like we can do with production mode? That would be sick!

How did you get Bridge to work with Cinema 4D 2024.4? I updated bridge but still can't do it. I have to use Cinema 4D R25 to be able to export to C4D directly from bridge. I even tried installing the latest (2.2) C4D bridge plugin, but still gives me an error. Please let us know if there's anything we need to do to make it work. Thanks!

thanks for the video - would've never realized the updates! I must say though - it's RS examples like this that make me love Octane even more. Don't get me wrong, I like RS for certain jobs, but the difference in speed, especially for simple scenes like this with displacement is night and day. Really hope they get their RT engine to a somewhat decent place in terms of speed and quality

Love your content! I'm struggling to add displaced water droplets over a metal can using stacking. Please show a way that I can add a transparent material over an opaque one without it inheriting the opacity of the material below. Rather than looking like water on metal it just looks like my metal can has metal pimples 😔

If you don't want the exposure issue you can set the Toon Material node opacity to 0. Contour node can be used with any material type and is driven independent of the material type. Should fix that issue. Still trying to figure out a way for the contour to be driven by a bump map, no luck so far
