I started playing on recorder year ago and want to buy the john packer flute in next 9 months, to be honest it is kind of sad that no one like the video, it does really explains how to make the flute from body and other parts. I don't really know how much difference will the flute have, but I do believe that it will be much smoother than recorder.👍

Question: what's the difference between this one and the other video you posted months prior, the JP031 trombone from overture I think it was called.

Why are there not more views on this video? Why are these corporate scumbags everywhere? Thank you so much for uploading this. Cheers.

Another couple of points: because silver has a taste, it can cause salivary glands to fire as though we are having something to eat. This over production of saliva means we have to hit the water key a lot. Gold has no taste so we salivate much less. Also, some people are allergic to silver. None are allergic gold.

Hello, I am in the market for a denis wick cornet 5C mouthpiece. Cannot figure out their numbering system. Which one do you recommend that compares to a 5C?
@stephengonzalez84112 жыл бұрын
Just look up the specs/measurements of yours and then go on denis wicks site and find the mouthpiece with comparable measurements

The way you explained the heavytop was backward. It actually takes less energy to get good resonance out of them. You save energy when it’s time to push them.

Thanks for the clarity regarding your instruments. Here is the problem. Everything made in China is not "good." Good means fair, honest, equitable and worthwhile. By purchasing from communist China you are enabling a tyrannical system of oppression. They murder their own citizens. They obfuscate on just about everything and they are incredibly manipulative with their currency and their business practices. Their are a great many alternatives to buying from such blatantly deceptive rogue nation. The reason things are affordable from Red China is because of the low wages that they pay their "workers of the world."

I want to buy a denis wick mouthpeice but i dont know the sizings right now im playing on a Vincent Bach 6-1/2 AL a small shank and want to go to a Denis Wick DW5880 12cs medium trombone mouthpeice would it fit still? i also have an F attatchment

S= Small shank L= Large shank A 12cs will fit in a trombone that accepts a small shank but its not gonna have a lot of mass in the low range. I have a 10cs which feels smaller than a 6.5 and is VERY bright. I also have a 5bs which is darker, warmer and bigger sounding than a 6.5 but can still get bright, it just takes more work. Don't expect to achieve the same brightness. Low notes are definitely easier on the 5bs. Denis Wick rims feel WAY different though. I have tried both mouthpieces on a few .500 bores with and without F attachments, a king 3b and a .525 and they differ in the same way when compared on the same horn. What trombone do you play and what do you want to use it for? I can tell you that the 5bs will feel a good bit bigger and will take a while to adjust to. The 10cs will feel tiny let alone 12 cs. The 12 will not have better low range than your 6.5AL. The 10 works great for jazz. I have used the 5 for jazz as well...... Again, it depends on what you want to use it for. Just my 2 cents.

Look first for a large bore. Then a deep cup.

How strong is your lip? Working on the assumption that the big symphonic pieces (DW 1, 2W etc)will likely murder your endurance, you might try the DW 4 which has a deep 'Viennese' cup shape. I used to use one of those when I needed to blend with a cornet section. Have you considered switching to cornet, or even flugel? They do 'dark' a lot better than trumpets.

Thank you so much at last a video that has answered my question a d in such simple terms. I’m returning to playing again after regrettably not playing for some years ow and I’ve just purchased a euphonium to get me back in the swing of things and to build up my confidence. I have bought a pristine second hand Besson international but it’s come with a what seems to be a trombone mouthpiece by John Ridgeon. I’m hoping that a Dennis wick ultra Steven mead sm3x will be hopefully better for me. Have you any thoughts on this?
