@apihemi your content is top notch! I'm a photographer who's in the middle of rebranding for engagements and weddings. Everything you said made sense and really resonated with me. I've made a price guide that I feel confident based off of these principles. Thank you again for your knowledge and willingness to share! You are one of a few that I consider mentors as I start this journey!

Api, you deserve far more subscribers, and here I am, just about to subscribe - I'm nearing the end of my career but really enjoyed your presentation style! Best wishes from a cold and very wet Scotland!

I am just starting in the video wedding industry. I am finding it extremely hard to get enquiries. Tried all sorts and done free work. The lower end is extremely competitive and many shooters bombard brides on FB. I also have done free work, but be careful with this, as i have had people expecting far more than you agree. Trouble is free is a endless cost with no outlay to the client therefore people either keep making demands or want more free work and even complain! It is a hard industry and what i am realising now is you need to buy bride's eyeballs. Being good doesn't mean bookings, it is about reputation and marketing. I am a experienced shooter with top level gear due to me being in the YT space for many years. But quality unfortunately doesn't book weddings, their friend telling them this videographer is good does.

As of present, just get a Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 and you're pretty much good to go for any event. However, it's only available for the Sony system.

I am trying to get ahead of the curb. Just wanted to know if there is anything that you have seen that has came out since the 360 photography booth that will take event photography to another level. Or can you just tell me of any other product that is hot after the 360 Photo Booth?

Came across this vid and I found it very helpful. You touched upon great points on the why and how to make the presentation/communication concise and I like how you described it as a process that the clients can flow into. Great business practices that I will learn from and implement. Will check out more of your content, thanks for sharing m8!

Api, That was fantastic! I have some questions before I buy your guide. 1) Which of the 2 guides that you have for sale did you use as your example in the video? 2) Once you finish the guide in Canva, what file type do you convert it to for publication? 3) what triggers you to send this to a potential client. Is there a want more info download our guide button? and or do you have them fill in their Name, number or email and then send it to them? Any other tips on how you use this would be appreciated.
@ApiHemi2 жыл бұрын
Hi David, thank you for the comment. I would recommend the SEWA price guide as it is more universal and timeless. Once you are finished editing, convert to JPG is perfect. You send this to a client when ever they enquire with you. Attach it to your email.

I have a 35mm and 24-70mm, the 24-70 I use a lot for wedding videos, but gets quite heavy after a long day 😃 I definitely want to get a 85mm or 70-200mm for wedding photography Which one out of these two would you recommend and why?
@ApiHemi3 жыл бұрын
If you already have a 24-70 mm, I would probably get the 70-200 mm instead of the 85 mm. It all depends on the final look you are trying to achieve but having that will pretty much cover any focal length you’ll need in any situation 😊
@VentureNorthMedia3 жыл бұрын
I have a 50mm 1.8 and 24-70mm 2.8 love them, I’ll be getting the 85 soon also, very cool.

What if I don't have a photo to post with the FB "AD", would you recommend using a stock engagement photo to sort of get the ball rolling?

Great question. Even getting some friends together to take a picture of them holding hands is perfect. Or maybe take a photo of yourself holding a camera. Any of these work
