To prepare your own dome you can use one of the FREE online calculators (you can find them on Google for example), which will calculate the amount of material needed and all the necessary lengths and angles for the preparation of the structure according to the chosen diameter of the dome. Thank you. I don't fully understand your question. There is a small gap between the outer covering boards. The dome structure - triangles, will be filled with insulation, so there will be insulation between the boards of the outer and the inner covering of the structure.

Trojuholníky sme spájali do tvaru kupoly dvaja, jeden deň sme boli traja. Poskladanie "holej" konštrukcie kupoly z už predpripravených trojuholníkov na predpripravenú terasu trvalo cca jeden týždeň. Všetky práce - terénne úpravy, betónové stojky, rošt, terasa, konštrukcia kupoly, montážne otvory, priečky, vnútorné a vonkajšie debnenie, izolovanie, nalepenie strešnej krytiny s prihliadnutím na počasie približne 6 mesiacov.

Hi @BrianJMader54476. Price for 2v geodome HUBS kit is 198€ with free delivery to Slovakia and Czcech republic. For now I don't send them to another countries.

These connectors are not that strong considering the price.

Tak ako konštrukcia "kvádrového" drevodomu a jej skladba môže byť difúzne otvorená, tak môže byť difúzne otvorená za dodržaných podmienok a vlastností materiálov aj skladba konštrukcie kupoly. Zatiaľ som však nemal dopyt na takéto jej vyhotovenie. Mám zatiaľ skúsenosť s najväčšou konštrukciou s priemerom 7m, izolácia 10cm hrubá. Predpokladám, že máte na mysli konštrukciu s hrúbkou izolácie minimálne 20cm určenou pre celoročné komfortné bývanie. S takouto hrúbkou izolácie a ani s priemerom 10-11m som kupolu nerobil. Nemal som zatiaľ dopyt na takýto priemer a prevedenie. Agi

Hi Paul, thank you for your comment. Yes, I made between OSB triangles gaps 2-4 mm exactly for the reason you are writing about. They are maybe not visible in video.

@@paulvandriel2344 Interior in this dome wasn't my job :-) The owner wanted to prepare it himself. Inside have to be a toilet with a small bathroom, kitchen, and platform with beds. I don't have pictures from his realization yet.

@@agigondaA poor attempt at humor here. Just saying that there a lot of wide angles in the drywall, which are difficult for a person to neatly apply drywall compound (mud) for a "smooth wall" effect. You're maybe going to choose a different wall finish. I think you have done a great job on your dome. I'm learning (hopefully enough) to build a dome 11 ft. in diameter from watching several vids on KZbin.

Hi Gordon. Thank you for comment. The space is secure with plastic blocks. I didn't make them from solid wood for possibility of condensation of vapors and moisture in the ventilation space. And these plastic blocks keeps their dimensions stable.

Hi stephanie nicolas. As a roofing - roof cover, I used in this case an EPDM membrane. It's very easy to apply - glue to dome construction.
