I used the build and get top chart of damage and such. It really can do damage, other than this, it's hard to find builds that can meet it realistically.

A single space marine (named, of course) would handle most of what we see in Darktide. Granted, the rejects in Darktide are also wildly overpowered. A typical Auric Maelstrom mission completes with over 2k kills in a 30 minute session. Thats 4 "normal" humans killing 2k enemies in an offensive manuever. Wildly unrealistic, even to 40k standards. But necessary for the run'n'gun, Melee bashing, super fast paced arthritis simulator that we love Fatshark games for. I think Darktide shows the scale of the Imperiums infrastructure a tad bit better than SM2. When you start a mission, a d look around and see rainfall, you think "I'm outside." Then you look up and see city lights, not stars, and realize there's a city the size of Manhattan Island hanging from the ceiling and it puts Hive Tertium in perspective. 90 million souls crammed into what essentially is one hectic structure. And you don't see as much of the crazy, gigantic statues of space marines and generals like in SM2, which largely takes place on the surface. You see the slums, the bottom levels. Where the mutants and most destitute used to live, because that is where the Heresy and rot will take root. Both games are amazing. Got well over 1000 hours in DT and VT2, and I'm getting along on SM2 as well.

Also the space marines we play as in sm2 aren’t even regular space marines, they’re primaris’ which are (I believe) significantly stronger than the firstborn marines, making the power gap that much crazier.

My main issue with Ogryn is that you just have almost no opportunities to split off from the tree you’re on to a different one. Zealot has 2 or 3 points where you can split your path where ogryn only has 1. I also feel like the perks for melee Ogryn are useful but a bit boring. They overly focus on hitting heavy melee attacks, which just feels weird & limiting.

the problem with that variant is zealot can at least close the distance while psyker need to run up.

I wish they give us a mission where we have to help a Space Marine, like Tidus, and then he comes to congradulate us and we can marvel in his glory... I'd love to see how much bigger he is then even the Ogryn.. My personal wish.

Jean-Stealers would be so cool. They'd be sneakier, with different attack patterns, different hordes, and you could fill the levels with the aftermath of them fighting the nurgle cultists for supremacy. A different vibe, although would require a shit-ton of artwork. New enemies, three arms, new voice lines, new animations, maybe some purestrains climbing up the walls, new mini-bosses like purestrains, lictors, weird hulking mutants. Those troglodytes bring so many possibilities.

I’ve been running empowered psyionics with the normal blaze , I like the two handed but being able to have full mobility on a weapon is so crucial on high level havoc missions

I don't know about Warp Slice. The crit multiplier for the slash is 1.3x and it doesn't feel impactful enough to bring. Also Blazing Spirit doesn't proc on the guaranteed crit. Intended or a bug, we just don't know.

Working towards it, I'm not quite comfortable on damnation yet. I mean I feel like I do pretty good usually, but sometimes things go wrong. I feel like I do best when I can just focus on hacking and slashing (zealot) and not have to worry about shooting snipers (100+ meters) away with my revolver because nobody else is paying attention.

I forgot what mission it was, but having only two players and two bots, it's literally impossible to finish the mission. Because the bots don't interact with key items. And bots are trash as fuck, so having to hold something and then kill everything is a joke. Finding a team has also not been possible either.

patry finder system is sh*t just because if memrber in your team left before mission start you need to waster attempt to start new mission, or just find this randoms and try to call of them again. mode is interesting but mechanic sucks

How high into havoc do you use this and can i use it with a staff

I love havoc while auric maelstrom, playing with randoms was a gamble. I like havoc because the mission itself is already so difficult to complete no one cares about who gets the elite kill. They're completely focused on the mission not out competing each other

I hate Havoc... it takes so much longer to get a group and you fail so much quicker. I've never seen such disparity in skill then I have when playing Havoc.

My opinion it's not fun waiting for people to accept your requests it's gone backwards in my opinion

Whole Ogryn's class need helps not just Point Blank Barrage.

On one hand: the rejects themselves ask why the planet isn't being blown up or how easy space marines or sisters of battle would have it On the other hand our characters are so cracked an inquisitor is confident sending 4 people into the heart of an enemy ritual with scrap gear and a dream... and they succeed. Tried the Gauntlet first time and couldn't believe how fun it is to punch light enemies like 20 meters into the air. You even kinda forget you just did that and then they start dropping again around you, haha.

no offense but ur build is not great honestly. for example why do u need the guranteed crit blessing on the weaopn while u play with crit aura and scryers gaze? better use crit chance stack blessing, thats way more versatile and will most likely crit anyways together with all the other crit stuff. and whats ur blitz ability even? Both brain explosion for the passive or assail to deal with ranged and causing hit stun while closing in and still do alot of dmg makes more sense in my opinion. its like u either use ur sword or ur lightning and they dont support each other at all and the points u spend to get to ur blitz r absolutely useless for melee psyker.

I think a that rework the talent is a bad idea, i mean your video is good and you explain yourself pretty well but we need a build of ogryn shooter, or other wise the machinegun will be useful as the inquisition to Guilliman.

I feel as though this puts psyker on more equal terms with the other classes. Many times you would be SOL if most specialists got close, but with this you can hold your own much better. And I can tell you it helps munch through specialists, bosses and hordes if used correctly.

Only comment is that i dont think the crit warp slice special attack on the greatsword spreads blazing spirit fire, best i can tell. I think in the vid its just spreading perilous combustion normally when it kills an elite

Aight, time for some 2000 hours autism: I use soulblaze on illisi and trauma, but I don't think it mixes well with the greatsword. Similar build, too, with smite, but mainly for dps boost for melee and dot since trauma does cc and stips armor, so opportunity-cost wise its much better in that one regard. With high peril build and assail things die either from a single wave (save but maulers and crushers lest they stand point blank) or things just die to assail which you can pop between swings to keep up the peril topped up. As it stands sacrificing raw power, a thing that the greatsword shines the most, for something that illisi and trauma do better with no crit blessing is not recommended. Smite is not good for keeping up high peril, since you have to stop what you are doing and commit. Relying on gaze to get that much needed cleave is really inconsistent, so between that and a lack of cleave blessing this is not very safe as well.

I myself was never skilled enough to play melee psycker, but the new greatsword changed everything. I now rock MK6 with wrath and riposte, while also having 200 toughness. Finally feels good to slice hoards left and right

why would you ever do a soul blaze build if disrupt destiny, the soul blaze effect makes it so hard to see you DD target

Ive been using the same loadout almost since day havoc but I REALLY recommend dropping disrupt destiny for more points in just... other stuff. Go all in on scriers gaze, you really dont need the keystone for this type of build. I use a blazing spirit build to proc the fire talents and it actually gets a lot of value on the moebian 53rd modifier as much as people meme on it for being terrible. Wrath + Blazing Spirit when you have 55% crit and all your soulblaze spreads is actually pretty useful and I consistently top actual damage on the scoreboard with it and do a good chunk less damage without it. You are helping the whole team kill things faster/hit breakpoints and I think thats something that really under rated.

Is there a games lantern of this build? Wanting to save the shot of the talent tree

There's a far better way to play this sword now after we discovered that bleed stacks inherit to it from bolt pistol.

what i love is activating scryers gaze and just going to town on mobs of enemies. I become a psy-berserker basically the only psycker build who might fall to khorne

like you said, this is how power weapons should have worked from the start. the animation and everything just makes the power sword on vet so garbage. I hate how slow it is and how fast the powered attacks vanish.

Ogryn’s tree overall is too linear and splits itself off into self destructive playstyles. You either play heavy hitter, play the garbo keystones, or don’t run keystones at all PS: I was the veteran Nitefly at 1:24 😳
