Good stuff dude, seeing this vid is making me think I need to pick up some of these collections on modern machines, it does make it nice and easy now having them accessible like that. I was pretty pleased I can now play the Shantae games all on my PlayStation, I remember I bought a 3DS to get riskys revenge back when that came out, then I think I had pirates curse on Wii U, then the others on PS4, so having them all ready to go all in one place is really handy now. Good stuff mate, some nice games here that I’ll have to give a bash, nice one dude!

@@dibbsgaming aye, apart from Pirates Curse which I have digitally (yuck) I have all the shantae games physically on my switch which is great. Completed the entire series apart from the new one that's due out soon for the GBA. Collections are well worth it mate. I've done a few vids on some of the shmup collections on switch as well and of course there's the beat em up ones as well.

Disney illusion island is so great to play with little ones! Every game here is playable on the switch in some form. It's a great little machine for retro gaming I find! Thanks for watching.

This one took a while (week or two but playing a fair bit) as I was going through the story with the wife and then I had some other bits to do plus the first lot of raids got added before I did this so I effectively got that completed also plus got a few jobs up to lvl 100. Busy busy!

@@bundjohn@bundjohn no she doesn't have her own account. She did play a separate character on mine but she stopped years and years ago! I used to sit and play handhelds and help her out with what to do and I'd be on standby to jump in and take over if she was getting a bit confused (her depth perception on games isn't very good, she struggles with 3D platformers)

This one's a classic! The original arcade version actually had a nice Golden Axe reference in it. If I recall the GA Cast were sat at a burger van in a scene 😂

Sorted. Cracking port this but lambasted by the UK gaming press (Mean Machines) back in the day for being too easy. Will be giving this a go.

See I always found it harder than Golden Axe but then I never got to play Alien Storm for any great length at any point. I've since gotten much better at it as a bit of practise last year got me quite far on this particular run. If I had it on easy I might be able to finish it

@@TheRetroMartin I think it’s basically the same difficulty as Golden Axe out of the box. Mean Machines were too busy loving up the SNES when this game came out to give it the props it deserved. 😉😎

Sounds like a on educational tool for younger children, It would be nice to see it come to the West although I suspect it won't, If they did bring it to the West I'm not sure there would be much interest in it But saying that it would be great If day cares, Nursery schools And schools Had them To help Educate the little ones Whilst having fun at the same time

Nice work mate, this is cool to see! I was always intrigued by the original pico, I remember reading it out-specced the Megadrive which felt weird at the time! Not sure if that was accurate though, can’t remember where I read it. Never got to see one in person alas. I can’t help but wonder if my daughter might like this new one, she’s getting a bit older now but still likes some of the Disney princess stuff! I guess with no western launch I’ll never get to show her. Anyway, great video mate, interesting stuff for sure!

Well I played and finished the Wii version so that was an experience lol. Like you said, there are good things about it. I liked the look of it, the music, some puzzles and boss fights. But yes, way too much backtracking and while some motion controls were fine and even neat in some areas, most of it was way too unresponsive

During this period a lot of games difficulty was cranked up beyond belief for the Western markets as game producers were terrified of video shop rentals killing sales if kids could complete their games over a weekend. Shame really as Hard Corps is a little bit ruined with its difficulty in the Western version.

Has it really been a year already? Time flies , I remember live streaming the first one That was an experience 😂 You're definitely tempting me with this one, Do we have a fortnight to do it? If I can fit it into my busy schedule I may give it a go, Maybe even live stream Again 😂 Definitely won't be getting those emeralds though As I suck on the bonus stages 😂

@@marcgoesblindgaming2076 I can do you one better. It's a popular game and as I was in Germany when I did Sonic 1 I extended it. I'm not in Germany this time but i am super busy with summer hols for the kids as we all usually are so this one has 3 weeks. Now there's less excuses for missing out!

@@steve36207 it's just 4 stages so it's easily practised. The bonus stages are great fun but can be failed if needs be. Tends to be really rough on stage 3 and 4 as there's a lot of traversal obstacles to make it take a while!
