@rhampton1914 also for $500, I think it's worth alone for the 3D wavetable, granular synthesis and modulations so everything else is a bonus, whatever you make on the ssp can be transferred to the xmx

It's a familiar saying “that thing is a beast!” For the ROAT it's totally true, that thing is terrifying! I'd be afraid to touch it…lest it bite me! That ghastly monster breathing sound at the beginning is the creepiest thing you've ever created, Reg. Congratulations, 😬. The sci-fi middle part was enjoyable…but horror returns at the end with what I imagine are the kind of sounds you'd would hear going down something's throat. Oh, man, 🤢. Well, I give a 👍‼️ to this, Reg, even though it leaves me kinda queasy. Hopefully calm and peace will overpower the darkness in the circuits next time. I hope so, 😳.

I had my snowblower fixed (twice) and spent $230 on it. Oh well, beats paying $1,500 for a new one. If mine last another few seasons I'll be happy. But I still dream of a home in the warmest climate I can find. It'll never happen, too broke. SSI doesn't pay enough for anyone to actually live. My brother-in-law lives in Iowa. They get a lot of nonsense rain & snow from them. Butyou hardly ever see them in the news. TV stations only show Buffalo and all the snow. The Template and Mod Matrix allows you to Mangle Audio Samples in such a way that even the Flagship Octatrack would be amazed with. Thanks for this Very Special Episode ... I had bouts with depression ("mild" I guess) when I was younger. There is a documented tendency for most people to level out as they get older, so the main mission has to be: SURVIVE. Get through it. Every situation in life is temporary. It will change, and when you're at the bottom, any change has to be an improvement. It's just very hard to remember this when you're in the depths of depression because the disease impairs your thinking ability and makes you believe there's no hope. Not being alone helps, but then again being stuck with a toxic person can make things worse. Everybody has to find a coping mechanism that works for them. I was on medication for a little while, and it did make the symptoms go away but I also didn't feel like me when I was on it, and I didn't like that.

The solution to depression isn't trying to convince yourself that everything is ok, because it isn't and everybody knows it deep down. Even if everything in your life is currently hunky dory you know damn well it ain't gonna last forever. No, the solution to depression is being able to deal with the crap when it inevitably happens. The only cure for depression I can think of is a massive dose of LOVE! My advice: listen to Reach Out (I'll Be There) by the Four Tops. Dig that cool Motown groove and do what it says. Just keep reaching out, you'll find love somewhere. Great message and vid, Reg! And of course cool music, 👍👍‼️

Unfortunately there are a few Generations of people who were used as Guinea Pigs by the Psychiatric Pharmaceutical Companies who lied to Psychiatrists about these new drugs for Depression and Anxiety, told them these new SRI , SSRI Medications were safe and non-addictive. Also lied about all the Benzodiazepines which are extremely addictive and very dangerous class of drugs used to treat anxiety, Valium, Xanax, Klonopin and another one whose name escapes me at the moment which is short acting and starts with an A. These Psychiatric Drugs are TERRIBLE for your Brain and cause Anhedonia among other things if you stay on them for too long. Then you can't get off of them because your body has become addicted. This is what's happening to me. Try getting off any Benzodiazepine ! The longer you take an Anti-anxiety Medication the more difficult and dangerous it is to attempt titrating off of them. I've been trying to get off of Klonopin for 3 years. Tapering slowly. Each person is different plus it depends upon how long you've been taking them. Pharmaceutical Companies never informed the Psychiatric Doctors about ANY OF THESE ISSUES NOR DID THEY TELL THE DOCTORS THAT PEOPLE SHOULD BE ON ANTI-ANXIETY MEDS FOR NO LONGER THAN 2 WEEKS!!! Two years ago Pharmaceutical Companies finally told Doctors about the dangers of their Anti-depressants AND their Anti-anxiety Drugs which should have had a Black Box on every type they made. There are several Generations of people now who are walking around worse off than they ever were before because their Brains have been destroyed as well as their lives because of these idiotic drugs and the terrible thoughtless money hungry people who developed and sold each one of these Brain destroying Pharmaceutical products.

Seems that more Psychiatric Doctors are realising and seeing the harmful impact of those SSRI's, SNRI's as well as all the dangerous of Anti-anxiety meds so they are actually opting out of giving any medication which is WONDERFUL.💡♥️🌠🎵💥

Wow Reg, that was insanely great. Super relaxing space/tripnotic jam. Almost thought I was listening to a professional mix, it's that good. Only one small problem, way low volume. No biggie though and you can always raise the volume with a program. I use Wavecut, but there's a ton of them out there (free too). You can raise the volume up 200% from what it was. Anyway, outstanding.......and another coming in a week. Means I have to get busy and make some tunes myself. I'm just so lazy.....
@rhampton1914Ай бұрын
@John-E It's funny you mentioned that about the volume.Because when I listened to my last video , the volume was like super loudand this one was quite low... Yes, thanks for letting me know when you hear imperfection like that.Yeah, definitely.I like to get your feedback.... Yeah starting to like this little groove box... I'm a hold on to this for a little while before I go back to something weird... I can't wait till you post something.Maybe we'll do a collaboration like we did before... I gotta start getting that dusty guitar back out of the closet.It's been sitting there since I moved into my new apartment...lol...😶🤔😅🤔😶👨🦽🍿🍿

@@rhampton1914 No problem, as the problem with low volume on YT makes it worse than YT's lousy hertz rate. No way is it even close to 20hz - 20,000 hz. So the volume does matter. Nice track though, one of the best I've heard. There's another new piece of gear you may be interested in. Looks simular to your syntakt, but no buttons. Has 5 synth engines in it. If I see it again I'll pass along more info. I forgot the name already......sigh.....
@rhampton1914Ай бұрын
@John-E Now I'm curious which synthesize are you referring to?I'm always looking to trade gear

@@rhampton1914 I wish I would have marked the advertisement for it, cause I can't remember. After I saw it I thought of you and said to myself, Reg would love this thing. (Might want one myself.) I'm still looking and hopefully, I'll find it. It's a new product, but the sound is insane because of the 5 synth engines. I'll be searching..! (Simular to my Nautilus with 9 synth engines...) Let you know as soon as I find it (again)....

Nice soft sound! Is it pure upgrade from the mc-101 of which I reckon you've loved much? I mean of course big screen and more buttons but how do you feel the difference for constructing ideas?
@rhampton1914Ай бұрын
i had the MC-101 for a few years more then any other Groove box...There's something about that little fellow....The Size,,,took batteries...had accoustic instruments as well as Modern sounds...i could not part with the Flute and Electric Bass and Rich piano, that's why i kept it so long..Elektron doesn't have those type of sounds,....so between the MC-101 and my Eurorack, i was set, but then i sold the MC-101 about 1yr 1/2 ago...been just exploring with different boxes.....Now i'm loking the Elektron but knobs are not solid like the 101...i love the 101 knobs...Elektron has incredible sequencer and Pattern Locks and Modulation matrix the MC-101 can only wish for so as far as Tech goes, the Elektron is a winner...i now use my Arturia Lab for my Flutes and Piano sounds using the Controller....so kinda switched up from MC-101 & Eurorack to Elektron & VST-Arturia Lab....lol...

Reg "Mr. Variety" Hampton does it again! Prog-fusion-jazz-rock-industrial, it's all in there. All melded together into your unique trademark cool style. You're the only player I sub to that makes me think that I could be listening to Chick Corea or Herbie Hancock. C'mon, Reg, no false modesty, you know it's true! 👍‼️
@rhampton1914Ай бұрын
Ahh RIP Chick...I remember those Albums....Return to Forever was one of my Favorites...I have a few Herbie Hancock CD's.....Can't duplicate those days on a groove box...lol........but i sure do love trying....we just sort of deveope our own style...Thanks for the comment. i also love the Prog-Fusion, etc and the list goes on...starting to listen to some mellow techno i find on the web. just Random searching...I have this sudden interest in this sort of Mellow House/Techno/Chill Music.,...i was thinking of parting with the Elektron but there's a certain side of me that likes that mellow Chill muisc....i'm gonna hang on to this for a while and see if i can get some nice melody use out of it......

Amazing! I am loving the sounds of the Syntakt, but it's cool that no matter what gear you use, you manage to always have your signature sound and style attached. Well done!!

Most excellent tune, Reg.... One of your better-than-usual ones. Very different. Hell of a jam. Sci-Fi ? Looked real to me. But then again I'm pretty odd and Sci-Fi'ish myself. Glad to hear you're back making tunes. Missed you for awhile. So, hows driving that Challenger to work?? All your peers must be a bit envious.....!

Hey John,,,thanks for stopping by and hangn out a bit...yeah,,,i'm sort of in that mood...May not happen every week but the Syntakt is sort of motivating enough to get my brain in action...lol...Been lazy lately....and YES,,,That car draws a lot of attention for sure...sometimes it's very annoying...makes me want a regular toyota C.
