Calling it a song is almost a joke. It's more an ethereal experience, a work of art, as you say like a soundtrack to a movie and I can assure gets better the more you hear it, even the Gregorian choir works well after loads of listens. Think it's a real masterpiece, a roller coaster of a ride, reminds me of The Friends of Mr Cairo by Jon & Vangelis regards it being songs within songs taking you all over the place. Think Kate Bush is a true genius.

Favorite songs on this album - Jackie - Jerusalem - I Want Your Hands On Me - Mandinka - Drink Before The War I wore this album out back in the day. They played her music at the club I frequented which is where I first heard her. First song I heard was I Want Your Hands On Me. My friends and I had a great time dancing to the more upbeat songs on this album. Sinead was a treasure and I will miss her forever 😢

If you haven't yet, I encourage you to listen to the entire Living in Clip album. I think the emotions of each song come through the best on that live album and her little talks with the audience just add to everything.

The raspiness in her voice is bc she is trying to imitate Rod Steward and making a bit fun of him cuz she wrote the song for him and shows a bit of how he'd sing it. But she kept it and it was a HIT iHahaha you prob didn't know that. Awww Thank you for your work.
