A beautiful meditation on times gone by - faces from the past - like ghosts. Fond memories. Thank you!

Fantastic collection of film, Well done. Was Fintona the only village station with a covered canopy over the platform?

Too much of the railway infrastructure has been lost now to private dwellings

Brilliant stuff - esp the SLNC which my family used regularly. Also confirms SLNC loco livery of red on black nameplates and red coupling rods!

Is there a way to access the background music in this video? I looked up the music in the description but that didn’t work, if there’s some way to find the recording and perhaps sheet music as well I would really appreciate it. It’s so beautiful and relaxing, I was thinking it would make a good jazz/piano bar piece. In general the music in these railway videos is amazing, you should see some of the old IRRS railway videos, they have good piano music too :)

Hi Manus - Thanks for your enquiry. The video was edited by Charles Friel and his son Edward from the RPSI, whom I am sure you will already know. I will speak to them and see if they can remember where the music track came from, but certainly feel free to contact them yourself as well to follow up. If I have any info I will message with details. Take care Selwyn

17.44 to 23.03. Enniskillen tp Collooney (SLNCR and towards former Carrignagat Junction, by the Dublin Sligo line. I never saw footage of that Collooney Station plus Owenmore Bridge beyond.
