is there a particular name or a theory for when they play the melody/scales on the top 3 strings and hold the bass note? everywhere i look for only refer to this just as counterpoint, but to me it looks and feels more related to chords than counterpoint because the bass is moving with the chord changes so its not an independent voice, is it just one way of playing chord-scales on guitar? there is very limited content on chord-scales on youtube, i see pat metheny plays this way a lot but using his thumb

You must NEVER perform any finger bends or vibrato. There must be absolutely ZERO emotion in the playing.

Does polyphia use reverb chorus and delay alot? I was gonna get those pedals too but idk if ill use them that much i want to play stuff like polyphia so would i need those?
@Jound
@Jound Жыл бұрын
I highly suggest giving Archetype: Tim Henson a go unless you really need a physical amp. You can also check out what’s included in his plugin to see what pedals you need if you absolutely need to buy physical pedals. I saw your other question as well and I suggest looking up guitar pedalboard signal chain to get an idea of how to connect everything if you’re going the physical route. To quickly answer your previous question, you only need one amp.

@@Jound Is it like bias fx or axe-fx? I thought those were expensive or wasnt the same as pedals but if i dont need them when i have archetype ill prob get that
@Jound
@Jound Жыл бұрын
Archetype Tim Henson is a signature guitar amp suite plugin (software for your computer and for recording software) designed by NeuralDSP and Tim Henson. I highly suggest looking that up first, then proceed down the Amp Simulation rabbit hole to learn more. There’s tons of resources about how to use an amp sim plugin, what you need to get started, etc. Make sure to look up what I mentioned in my previous comment if you’re looking to get physical pedals.

@@Jound looks like i dont need physical pedals i just wanted to learn how to use them while playing and get the same or similar tone to what they play but this seems much easier thank you

so i would need a different amp for the pedals and an amp for the guitar?
