"Smile. Gurney." "I am smiling." The Herald Of Change guy was very efficient. He only read the first paragraph of the scroll and then wrapped it up. The movie would have been a lot longer if he had read the whole scroll.

For the people saying it was a trap. Leto knew it was a trap. But he had a good plan. And if it worked, it would have made them rich beyond reason. The emperor gambled big time. If the Atreidies had managed to be alert to the Harkonen and Sardukar attack and had won, they would have been unstoppable.

Is it just me or does the Herald sound completely different from his initial speech at 2:56? My guess is they've used a 'voice-over' for the speech and then used the actor's voice in the interaction with Leto?

if interstellar travel is impossible without spice that means humanity started on the spice world since it would have been impossible to discover spice otherwise. the fremen are the original humans and we evolved alongside the worms.
