As a retired psychiatrist/stress researcher/armchair paleo-archeologist, having treated 25K fellow suffering souls, and journied through my own traumatic childhood and later struggle with alcoholism/addiction, I find Jung a kindred soul. I have chronicled my own journey in my free online e-book PDF, "Stress R Us". Many thanks to Rose Gentry and the narrator of this wonderful, if antiquated, video. I thought the sound track was perfect for this piece. Sadly, "modern" prescription laden "psychiatry" bears no resemblance to my education at the Univ. of Wisconsin 1970-74 or my lifelong quest for the truth of the functions of the human mind/spirit. Namaste' and peace, out!

@@rosetheserpent You are more than welcome! As a trauma survivor and emotionally abandoned only son of an emotionally abandoned father, I am most comfortable around other wounded souls. Sadly, after 25 yrs. of 12-step mtg's., I am too often driven out of the rooms by the unrecovered bullies who often dominate the meetings and criticize me for mentioning the reason I drank and drugged (CPTSD) or doing "therapy" with my supportive words directed at those fellows struggling. Looks to me like 12-step recovery has become a religion, where no variation from the 85 yo scripts (liturgy) are tolerated, however well intentioned or helpful to those so desperately in need of support, "protection and care". Hope you enjoy "Stress R Us", and please do continue your work! Namaste'

glad to see a psychiatrist with this view of modern psychiatry! however I have to say 25,000 is a pretty high number, where do you get that from? you'd have to be treating 10 patients a day for like 20 years at that rate..?
@StressRUs13 күн бұрын
@@naomidodunski384 Thanks for the question! The numbers of patients I treated per day grew at the behest of insurance companies, managed care organizations, and the urgings of mental healthcare "administrators". For the last decade of the 42yrs., I saw 20-25 patients per day 5 days a week, spoke to several on the phone, supervised a PA and NP, and had 3-5 separate offices, closely following 1,500 patients at any one time. I was trained by Carl Whitaker in "family" psychiatry, so as often as possible included family members I'm not counting here. 25K is a very conservative number, as our ever more stressful and crazy making "toxic" culture has only grown more damaging over time. Stress addiction is the "new normal" and is pretty much guaranteed to drive anxiety and depression. I wrote a book about my observations over my 42 yr. career and give it away for free on the net as a PDF, "Stress R Us". Have a blessed and peaceful day!

@rosetheserpent20 күн бұрын
My dirt house, thank you very much, I'm homeless. There is a housing crisis in anchorage alaska. Because the anchorage board of realtors and the mayor are coniving to turn the municipality into a money-making machine where people with mental health issues even if they get a housing stipend won't be housed because we are not contributing to economic growth. Then they make vagrancy a crime hoping we all just leave but ain't no place to go so we live in dirt houses and shanty towns till they find us and run us off and we rebuild in another patch of trees. Fortunately the aclu is trying to litigate for us. Lord knows we have no time to fightback we are just trying to survive.

if Jung could even life in this century. I will recommend him to packt with Mooji. They will be the undefeatable duo. F.e: whole personality. Now its clear. The whole personality only appear when identity is lost. Because WHAT IS IDENTITY? NOTHING! It's just a memory that can be perfectly distorted since the mind is very pliable. Identity is what others have said about you and what you have said about yourself. And within a tenth of a second, it arises in your mind. Even that can be wrong. Or rather, it almost always is. Only you, at the moment when you observe your thoughts, only then is it you. Only when identity disappears and instincts remain. Now it is appropriate to choose the right words. Of course, you have some basis and there may be some truth to it, but it's already a projection, it no longer emanates from the true self, the true self is what you were after birth. After a brain reset, you would be the true self. And that's why political nonsense is so often devalued, because it happens with the involvement of your ideas, not you. That's where I'll start."

I know everything about it. So maybe I have it because its my task.. to obey the life in me. It is saying VERY STRONGLY: You can DO THAT, it has only 2 conditions - first - it must be fun for me, 2 - I must be fckn serious with it. So I, without any schools, am swearing, I will be the one who explain something new. Sometihng that will change the game. Thats my task, Im feeling it.

Hinduism is the first religion but the absolute that spawned the God's that are spoken of in the Vedas. Is the same Divination that spawned all Gods, and therefore is reflected in all dogmas of all religions and psuedo religious machinations. An immovable object is space, and an irresistible force is time . Where do they meet? do they conclude of each other or collide? what lies without, on the other side? The only reasonable answer to this and to those of its infinite derivitive of paradoxes resulting is one that we cannot hear told or relate genuinely on our own or to a student without irreparable damage to both the psyche of initiator and initiate being done. So abhorant to our very nature is that answer that the question has naturally evaded our attempts to know it as a question and instead collectively and individually, we chose to cognitively distance ourselves from reality as dynamically as possible with pantheons and upheld by pillars of meaning called truths. Some elected gods to govern and uphold these truths enforcing there validity whatever the cost . ALL Dogmatic complexity therefore WAS BORN AND IMMACULATELY CONCIEVED APART FROM OUR MACHINATIONS FOR OUR SALVATION FROM OUR LOGICAL CONCLUSIONS. AND THE END SHALL NOT JUSTIFY THE MEANS RATHER LET THERE BE GOOD APART FROM EVIL THAT THE MEANS BE JUSTIFIED BY THERE OWN MERIT, AND NOT to be CONCLUDED UPON. LIFE IS SACRED AND SANCTIFIED BY a BALANCE of destruction but they do not oppose and negate being not apart but 2 parts of a whole... static nirvana, still life is born in the crux of its counter pole. Ignorance is bliss where knowldege abounds without understanding. But understanding knoweth all purpose in meaningful pursuit of a deficit to be filled. Kabalah predates Hinduism because it is not a religion but an answer to a question that religion conceals from the uninitiated. The initiated are men that became God's. The uninitiated are the blind devotees of the the out dwelling God's seeking but never finding forming but never filling, knowing and even understanding but never thinking. Religion is the cosmological constant, the metre of all merit the conclusion. Kabalah is no metre. It is understanding not knowing or concluding but coming to and through conclusions, thinking through delusions. Religion is dead clinging to dead things and woe whilst the dead dance about indifferently. Hinduism has been dead the longest and thus is waking bit by bit vamachara is the road home where Shiva wills his left hand stir his right.

Communism predates Marx. That’s why there is a distinction between communism and Marxism. Marxism is a call to rise up based on a communist modeled manifesto. A manifesto is generally a call to arms a banner if you will. A motto or mantra which is shared among comrades before a battle to bolster the overall moral of its men before shattering it completely. Just as holy war is the battle cry of extremists everywhere in the Middle East so was class upheaval the battle cry of the dissident in the west. After all that is what battle cry we built our nation behind. The French Revolution had occurred not to long before that, and the Protestant reformation before that. The resulting governments needed a scapegoat such as Stalin to make revolution look bad and thus legitimize the long standing and necessary authority of our government and others like it. And that’s what the Cold War was all about. That is why so many of our national security secrets managed to get away from us in that era of communist expansion because absolute power corrupts absolutely and for our democracy to stay under active government oversight and control needed our government to be striving without resolution tapping into man’s inherent xenophobia and fighting socialism with socialism. No such thing as a Cold War it’s a classic example of narcissistic gaslighting.
