Thrifting is so fun. I love the mug and Clarks! Definitely a find. I went thrifting today and picked up a really nice pair off Dansk booties on the cheap! And some adorable plates with hummingbirds painted on them. I loved the synchronicity of thrifting . It can be kind of a battle, especially on senior day, but I still love it. Can’t wait to hear about Dr. Kildare. I recall my dad having a few of those paperbacks around when I was a kind. Good nostalgic vibes!

I was 7 or 8 when the original Alfred Hitchcock and the Three Investigators books came out, way back in the 60s. I was given the first three books in the series as a Christmas present, and loved them. They were so much better than the Hardy Boys or Nancy Drew. I still have most of them (the first 20 in the series were the best!) to this day, and read them periodically. They still hold up.

@@booksoffthebeatenpath Just be careful you get the original ones. 20 years or so after Alfred Hitchcock passed the publishers decided that new kids wouldn't know who Hitchcock was, so they replaced him with some characterless guy named Mr. Sebastien. Ridiculous! You'll be able to tell because the titles won't have Alfred Hitchcock in them...and I think they only released them in softcover.

I enjoy your conversational, informal writing style, it is welcoming. Write your life, starts not finished, the adventure of BookTubing, Indie reviewing, church, mental health, these scary political times... what it is to be you... maybe in diary form, maybe as first person autobiographical 'novel'.... but, maybe you would prefer to write a thriller, or mystery, or Gothic tale. I have to write, & dream of readers, knowing that the two will rarely meet, but that is freeing also, it allows me to experiment & take risks, in 'private'. Of course, your BookTubing & Indie reviewing is also, already, a creative & significant act... stay strong & creative.

For Christmas my Husband got me a fancy book stamp from a Jane Austen shop, saying, 'this book belongs to' with pretty flowers and a cameo at the top. I am going to stamp all my favourite books, I've realised that (mostly) their value is only to me, so if I stamp them they increase in value!
