@craigblackie20344 ай бұрын
The two wires on the back of the board stay, you can desolder the Nand flashing cables though.

Really i thought that the ssd was soldered onto it? But good. Because i aint really a fan of soldered parts on newer consumer hardware. While besides being harder to repair also creates alot of e waste

Hi Guys .. I ran into a similar issue. Save yourself time and money repairing the console's Wi-Fi module by buying a simple cheap Wifi Ethernet Dongle (USB-C type) , connect using a physical ethernet cable download games, update console, backup etc .... I personally tried and tested and it works like a charm

Thank you so much for this easy to follow video guide. I just did my first of these for a customer at my game store thanks to you. Hardest part was definitely cutting out more screen space on the shell. I felt I did too much and yet I probably could have shaved off just a smidge more on one side. Thank you so much again!

HELP! Tried adding Windows to SSD…. Everything worked except I wanted to boot to Atari OS and use boot manager when I wanted to run Windows…. After changing the boot sequence back to USB>emmc>SSD, I can no longer access the BIOS… Instead, I get a boot choice of “Atari Slot A” or “Atari Slot B”… also I no longer can boot to a USB including the Atari PC mode USB….So now I can only boot to Atari OS…. Any ideas how I can get back into BIOS?

Hi, I'm getting the following message right at the end stage.... When I try the suggestions, nothing happens. any Ideas please? You have changes in the submodule. This is not normal. Please clean the submodule by running 'git submodule update --init' (You may set CHECK_DIRTY_SUBMODULE=0 to suppress this warning) make: *** [Makefile.common:400: CheckDirtySubmodules] Error 1 make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

Hi Retro tech Corner, I do not have any experience in electronics themselves but I am good at soldering. I tried to find a chip. I can only find one with 3 legs on one side and two on the other. Can I work with those? The ones in your video aren't available here.

strange, there is another model with no white frame. the fix for the random button pressing was to apply some tape to that part you rubbed alcohol on it, to thicken up a seemingly random piece of foam. sounds crazy, but it worked perfectly. this ds3 is a very defective design, all of them (or at least a significant percentage) eventually do the random button press thing.
