My wife and I applied for a 55 & older apartment. They said that we were “Conditionally Approved. What does this mean?

Hello, sorry for the late reply! They might have answered your question already, though just in case: "Conditionally approved" usually means you are approved on either a couple different conditions. One, they want a cosigner, or two (which is more common) they just want a higher security deposit =).

Hello, i'm so sorry to hear that! I specialize in the Phoenix Valley, so I am unfortunately not familiar with management companies down there to where I can provide assistance. Private owners can be forgiving with negative rental history and could be a good place to start. It'll be a time consuming process, though you could also go place to place reviewing rental criteria and different places. That's what I do here.

Sometimes they can be non-refundable unfortunately. It varies, though if they are non-refundable it'll typically be non-refundable after 72 hours or a denial. You want want to seek legal advice if you meet the criteria for a holding deposit to be refunded. AZ has some free legal services out there.
