Hey @psenough, I hope you're doing great. Despite trying various methods, I'm still unable to set up my controller on my PC. I recently purchased a new wireless Xbox adapter and I'm currently using it on Windows 11. Could you please advise me on what steps I can take to establish the connection? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
@psenough3 күн бұрын
if it's new it should just be plug and play. does it work on other machines and usb connections? maybe it's the hardware that is defective itself.

lol everyones got their devices and not microsoft dongles meanwhile im over here trying to figure out if i can salvage my 4 identical microsoft branded dongles that i dont have the devices to anymore 😂maybe ill salvage em one day for something but im half tempted to toss em out also logitech is definitely my go to with dongles, dont mess with their bluetooth bs tho its been the bane of my existence for like the past year or two, i just want my lovely bt based logi keyboard to work reliably as a keyboard should when i have it on :( dang bluetooth interference and everyone with a million wifi and bluetooth devices on in their houses 24/7 in my area. All probably over powered and using the same bands half the 24+ networks in my area are still using the default network names and i assume passwords lol

haha, I'm enjoying these more regular scene updates, always good to see a new vid from you PS'. Sick background effect today, reminds me of the 'game source code' noise effect said to be running down the middle of Atari classic Yars Revenge.

Is the GPN on your radar?
@psenough4 күн бұрын
what GPN are you refering to? Goulash Programming Night perhaps? i haven't mentioned it on videos because it's not listed on demoparty.net but i have heard of some demosceners planning to go there, yes!

This is such an incredibly valuable service to the demoscene community. I'm not sure how much feedback you get, or how much are compensated for it, but I hope it's enough for you to continue. The links and chapter markers in particular are incredibly helpful.

thanks for your continuous support trixter :) youtube monetization buys a couple beers a month. patreon pays electricity and internet costs. it's not really enough to cover demoparty travelling expenses through the year but maybe one day :)

Diskflashback is a pretty cool tool, I've been trying it out with a bunch of Atari ST disks, and its quite handy, it saves a few steps if I want to see what files are on a disk, grab it if you have a greaseweazle

I had included a file extension in the application itself which in-turn grouped the extensions together as a 'Type' when I didn't mean for it to do that. So in the registry, Classes for that application, I changed that extensions (Default) data value to anything I wanted. Within the application I could swap 'Types' but removing the extension didn't clear up any 'Type' associations. Then to force file explorer to update the change (after refreshing) required that I re-do Open With... choose another app... and recheck always open with that same app. Within that application the new custom 'Type' I made isn't in the list, nor the ability to make new Types but at least that minor inconvenience is solved. hi google first result.

i considered doing that, used to do it for the monthly video, but the weekly format felt like each topic would be faster covered and not make much sense to have divisions of things that only take a few seconds. but for example for demopary coverages makes sense since it takes a while longer to go through it all, so i'll probably add them back again in the future! thanks for the feedback!
@modernsolutions6631Ай бұрын
Biweekly also would be fine with me or some fun non week aligned number like every 8 or 16 days.

@protequeАй бұрын
I think I need to give it some time before I know if I prefer weekly or monthly. I think I like weekly better though. just be sure not get burned out :) prefer monthly over weekly for a while and then nothing :)
@psenoughАй бұрын
in terms of prep work is not all that much extra work. might have to skip some weeks eventually when some real life stuff makes it impossible to record something on the beginning of the week though.
