In junior high, my girlfriend's father owned a high end restaurant. One time, at the end of the night he came home with a giant stainless steel bowl full of langoustines. There were probably 200 of them with garlic butter to match. I literally sat and ate as many as I could until my stomach wouldn't accept anymore. It was a good night.

What bollocks! Farmed salmon can't hold a candle to wild salmon. How a Scottish chef can say Scotland has the best fish in the world is totally beyond me. Nuclear power plants, oil rigs and refineries around the coast is not conducive to catching fish of the same quality as Canada, Alaska or Iceland.

Farmed salmon is destructive to the environment and the surrounding wild marine life. The flavor of farmed salmon is terrible compared to wild salmon. Farmed fish are fed antibiotics regularly which ends in your system. Antibiotics are the reason behind the anti-biotic resistant bacteria that is plaguing the world in epidemic proportions that can lead to deaths by pneumonia and other bacterial infections.

The turn over that Salmon farms produce .. doesn't always provide the better product .. a line caught wild salmon is and will taste better than the standard run of the mill pellet fed farmed salmon any day .
