I loved the song The Shelter Of Your Arms written by Jerry Samuels. The lyrics were so tender and emotional. Recorded by Sammy Davis Jr. it became a hit in 1964 when it was released on the Reprise label. Sammy sang it straight without jazzing up the lyrics in any way. His voice was perfect for this song. He had the diction and the melodic range to give it the perfect vocal treatment. It reached #17 on the Billboard Hot 100. Since Sinatra brought Sammy Davis to his label, Reprise Records, & he recorded at United-Western, I'll bet Sammy also recorded at United-Western Recorders in LA. I've never been able to find out who engineered the recording but United-Western was famous for its sweet sounding studios designed and built by founder & engineering genius, Bill Putnam, one the fathers of modern recording. I remember hearing this song on the radio in 1964 and feeling exhilarated by it. It was well produced. I also remember the 1966 or 67 release of Jerry Samuels' "There Coming To Take Me Away, Ha Ha!" My brother and I used to run through the house singing that song. It ran up the charts and was play to death on AM radio for a short time and then it was gone ---- a true hit Novelty tune! It's sad that Jerry died but it only takes one song to help people through the day and for me, that song was "The Shelter Of Your Arms." It was just so tender and beautiful. Thanks for giving us your talent Mr. Samuels!

Mike is one of today's excellent actors. I first saw him in 'While You were Sleeping" where he played the role of "Joe Junior". He really shined in that role, and I have followed his films ever since.

Is this video from 2022? My band was in front of the small antique firetruck this year but not in this video. It's the video from last year that I watched the other day. Where may we find the one from yesterday?

This was a live broadcast from July 4, 2023. Unfortunately, sometimes people block cameras so even though we use multiple cameras, we can always get every shot that may have happened there. The other thing that sometimes happens is there’s a copyright issue. If you be kind enough to tell us what the timestamp is where you think you should be, we can actually check for you.

This is Gerry Wilkinson, former CEO of broadcast pioneers of Philadelphia. This tour took place on July 25, 2012. It was our tour of the station for our members. It was then when we announced our inductees into our hall of fame. One of the people selected was jay lloyd who we see at the beginning of the recording talking about the portable recorder

God bless you Andy! I am 54 years old and I grew up with the very best Richie Harry and absolutely you Andy! He buried it! He buried it! I remember like it was yesterday! Andy you were the among the best in the business and you held your own. That wonderful gentleman that you were talking about Byram Saam. I had the pleasure of meeting him with my dad on the subway going down to a Phillies game in the seventies. I was so young obviously I had no idea who he was, it wasn't until later in life that I truly met a legend. Living in Philadelphia area our teams aren't necessarily the best but we had the best and commentary and announcing. Thankfully Andy You're A Part of our history.

I really enjoy listening to old Phillies games (70s/80s) on KZbin. While Harry Kalas is a legend in Philly, I do think Andy Musser may have been the better Phillies broadcaster of that era. He may be one of the most under-rated baseball announcers of all time.

Clearly the women don't want to feel left out when it comes to mass brawling. On a serious note loose skates in situations like this can easily lead to slit throats & coronaries. The fatal potential is ever present.
