I’ve worked in plastic injection molding for 20 yrs as a quality control inspector. It is probably a mold problem where the molten plastic meets from 2 different directions while flowing into the mold. This can be caused by too cold a mold temp or too cold plastic temp or low pressure. The plastic didn’t knit well at that point. Also they could be using cheaper plastics or “ regrind” which is scrap plastic that is ground up and then reused to save money. Shame on Yaesu for not honoring this obvious defect.
