I'll gladly take the 2024 year ender match! Shoutout my boy Coop. This is the second time I played against galacticmon (he cooked me the first time). Normally you learn what to do against decks but I still have no real clue how to beat galactic once its established lol. Purple Hybrid is an incredibly fun deck to play and I literally recommend it to anyone playing Digimon. Its got so much user expression in deck building to tailor to really any playstyle of choice. My personal preference is less emphasis on Dusk / Velgr and more on Rhihimon to quote our 26th president, Theodore Roosevelt 'In Rhihimon We Trust' My high end in this deck is a toolbox for whatever scenario I encounter. I don't claim to be the best purple hybrid player by any means (or even decent tbh.. I missplay a lot lol) but I notice when watching a lot of other videos people really under utilize Mr Lowee and Mr Kaiser. The OG strength of BT7 Cherubi-PH was Rhihi retal -> swing loop -> recur resource (See 4:47). The games evolved a ton since those days but in very 1:1 gamestates this is how this deck wins. 11:00 There is a possibility I could have cheated here. The initial Jack Raid I activated 30 seconds prior I counted 21 cards in trash. However I then went into Rhihi using Mr Lowee and Mr Kaiser AND played a tamer from trash, reducing the count by 3. After watching.. I think I only have 19 cards for the second Jack Raid. (I drew and trashed twice) 17:55 @TJ I was asking Cooper the same thing. I expected him to redirect the swing and trash the sources to protect. I asked him after G1 why he choose to delete the Galacticmon instead of protect and he said all the cards left at the bottom of his deck were vemmons and he needed more for another play (something along those lines) so sacking the Galacticmon was the best option. 14:20 AncientGaruru was also a pick at the start in JP but like y'all said.. It fell off after the AncientGaruru deck fell off itself. Originally I was testing 8 different cards at 1 each in a mix: ShadowSeraphi ACE, Valk ACE, Cendrill, GranKuwaga ACE, AncientGaruru, Venus, OphaniFM <- (my waifu alts not going to waste here) Dorugora + Dex.. and honestly AncientGaruru has been the best. The ACE cards are cool but Velgr / Dusk along with retal on Mr Kaiser offer so much control in a way that I really wanted my top end to be proactive cards (In this scenario I am including Venus as a proactive card) that I can use during the infamous "play Jack Raid UwU xD" turn. This way I can turn my final turn into a 'you cant touch me this turn w/ Venus' or otherwise 'Bounce + two checks'. AncientGarurumon dying is also just so good for the deck. He himself plays a tamer and adds back a hybrid and BT2.0 Mr Lowee nets you the tamer from sources. They kill the thing and you get two tamers. Also the bounce security works when you draw and trash if AncientGar sticks on the board.. Easily recycleable too with Koichi so you don't mind pitching it with BT2.0 Koichi for mem. 13:35 yall got me blushing OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO STOP IT ;3 Sorry for the paragraph yap, sitting here at my desk waiting to get my liver obliterated later tn at the bars.

In Galacticmon your vemon are worth a lot more being in the trash than at bottom deck, so sometimes even if you can protect, you'd rather just let the Galactic go since you can just Snatchmon cross from trash, and build a line with fusionize again.

Nice to see someone try to make Sakuya loop work with what we have now. I tried the same thing and had the exact problems you described. At the end of the day I swapped over to the new LM Maid Mode and put the future loop cards to the side. I can't be the only one that saw the shuffling. It hurts my eyes! Lol

as a slight correction to 12:55, i have never used ruin mode in a deck until ancientgrey and that was just to get -10k for a turn :^) this is the first time i actually used it properly and that combined with sakuya that i haven't touched since ex2, reading a whole deck is hard lol

21:42 HeavyLeomon should be unsuspending at the end of the swing here, which should be lethal. Then Mitchell evos Liamon into Leo-X which isn't allowed, TJ is correct on this, somebody needs to tell Mitchell that the Leo-X isn't as good as it looks and basically forces you to run BT14 Leomon (3/4 Leo-X evos were illegal this game).

Since it got bought up, I think the big difference between SecCon and Lucemon is that Lucemon is VERY interactive despite having a similar control playstyle. If you're fighting SecCon you're beating your head against a wall of Sec bombs and your opponent plays like 1 or 2 cards a turn if you're lucky, while Lucemon has all the multichoice effects for it's opponent, a few unique engines it can run (Levia, Revelation, LKM) and an end goal to it's control in Luce X or Satan mode. That interactivity changes a lot in terms of how fun it is to fight, at least for me. Some of my favourite proxy matches have come from either playing or fighting a Lucemon deck

It's remarkable that Lucemon went from a meme with no legs/vorthos type of deck that told a story that went nowhere to being this massively dangerous threat that not many decks can answer, even the broken token master Diaborro himself.

I have non-mega-zoo list for Justimon that's getting me wins on DCGO even with only Cyberdramon ACE as support if the hosts wanna take a look. As someombody who got critisized for playing Pulsemon's side of Takamizuchi I always like to defy net decking something exaxtly as it is or going anti meta. Just like in Yugioh and sometimes still MTG. Why be what they expect? Can't put on a show that way.
