@ThePaintedFerret idk? I'm excited about it. But I know everyone probably is afraid that it won't live up to the animated one and think it's silly to do a live action version? But i think they'll change it a bit, and it'll still have heart & humor

I don't know if you know this or not, but Wicked was originally a Broadway musical written back in 2003. The version we're seeing on screen is a film adaptation of that original score. It's not so much that they made a new movie and decided to make it a musical, but more that they turned an existing musical into a movie. It just wouldn't be the same show without the music that made it as big of a stage sensation as it became in the theatre world! <3 But I agree, the film version is FANTASTIC so far and I'm excited to see how they do with Act 2!
@Movie_Toast21 күн бұрын
@Pixiemage Yep, I'm aware of that. I personally wasn't a fan of the music. I much more prefered the music in Tye Wizard of Oz. To me the music was the least interesting part of the movie. However, that's just my opinion, and I'm in a very small minority. I'm happy that everyone gets to enjoy the adaptation of a beloved musical that they hold near and dear to their hearts. But I don't know if you know this or not, but the Broadway musical is an adaptation of the 1995 Gregory Maguire novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.
@Pixiemage20 күн бұрын
@ I’ve actually read half the book! My mom had it on her shelf when I was a kid and I got curious about it. Definitely a bit darker and more serious than the musical, goodness. Broadway makes everything a little more fantastical sometimes haha. And you’re right, not everyone is going to enjoy the music half of the film. Everyone has different tastes and it won’t appeal to everyone, which is totally fine! God knows my brother’s tried getting me into bluegrass for years but it just ain’t my thing lol. And I’ll definitely agree with you on one point - the music from the Wizard of Oz will always be iconic. It’s a timeless classic at this point and Judy Garland’s voice is still amazing to this day. I’m not out here trying to change your mind, I promise! I just know not everyone knows about the origins behind the film - it’s kinda cool to see someone else out there who knows their stuff. :)

I enjoyed how it paid homage to older western by having most the cast die off. Been a long time since I’ve seen a movie where there not afraid to kill important or liked characters
@noahknight403911 күн бұрын
It’s actually quite common especially in horror movies and crime thrillers like The Departed or Road to Perdition. You also have movies like Logan, No Country for Old Men, The Hateful 8 where the entire cast of characters are nearly taken out. What’s a long time, a year or 2?

bro wtf are u actually saying is nonsense, the first two movies is nothing in kills compared to this one, people literally left 10 minutes into this, please stop the cap opinions
@Movie_Toast2 ай бұрын
@@samuelaiello1977 They said that same type of stuff for the 2nd movie. The kills aren't that insane they're different from other slasher flicks, sure, but better than the other movies? I disagree. The woman split in half in the first one was intense. The teen girl in her bed in the second one was crazy insane. What happened to the mom in the 2nd one was epic. But nothing in the 3rd really stuck out to ME (my unpopular opinion, but my take on it) as much as those three kills in the first two movies. I think they wanted it to be crazier and I just didn't see it. I think it's just the hype train on this one. If people left from what happened in the first 10 min of this movie, that's on them. They should have known what they were getting into. None of that was as epic as the first two. I feel like people either didn't understand what was coming from a non rated horror movie or they didn't see the other 2 flicks. They were just the wrong audience stumbling into this movie. Or they just wanted to tell people that they saw this really twisted movie that made them leave the cinema in order to sound cool or hip. Idk? But hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and these are just my opinions.

art the clown had potential to be a good slasher , all that fake gore takes alot away from how scary he could have been.
@MasterOfBatingCod2 ай бұрын
I’m glad somebody agrees with me. I watched this movie 2 weeks ago and sat there in the theatre ready to have my mind blown with all the reviews of how gory and sadistic Art was in this one in comparison to the first two films. The “infamous” shower scene, in my opinion, wasn’t any more sadistic than the hacksaw scene on the first Terrifier movie. I honestly preferred him using plain every day tools and weapons rather than the gadgets he made in three as well as the chainsaw. The suspense of him reaching in his bag and not knowing what he was going to pull out was lost due to the over the top weapons he used in the new movie. With that being said, Art is still one of my favorite slashers of all time just because of how well the character design and demeanor is.
