At the time, the concert was held at QVC Stadium in Chiba Prefecture, and I was so thrilled when Christopher Cross appeared in the middle of the concert, which was the opening act for the US👏👏👏

Watching this makes me realize a possible missed opportunity; Cross would have been an excellent person to fill the void left after Carl's passing. While it's true that nobody could really replace Carl, Cross would have been more than capable to cover his parts. He's a good guitarist in his own right, has a similar vocal style to Carl's, and he could supply the band with a few hits of his own. Hell even his songwriting is similar to Carl's; you could consider that Carl drew some inspiration from Cross's mega-hit "Sailing" when he wrote "Heaven".
