Hi, I have been kiting the PTM684 on short fuse with turbo tail stab and love it, but it feels like it lacks a bit of speed. I mainly freeride and wave ride up to 2m waves. Would this be a step up in terms of speed and maneuverability or would the PFH657 be better?
@slingshotsportsАй бұрын
hey, the 657 is better suited to kiting and will be a nice step up from the 684

Our kite school uses the Glide and Crisis models. The Glide is great for 200+ lb riders and is a session saver in light wind. Smaller riders will have difficulty edging it, especially if powered up, the Crisis will work well for them.

I started with a Slingshot Dialer 130. Tried 3 different foils. Now I can wind foil in 8 knots with an Infinity 84. The Levitator might get me going in a bit lighter air, but my new to me 2018 Gecko 133 is doing everything I wanted the Levitator for, so I'm fine.

What i really noticed, was how stable it was in low wind, especially low wind at 12 o-clock.

Tutos on how to freefly are scarce, thanks for yours, maybe you could update it and add word transcription ? One issue I often face in hectic choppy no long swell water of Mediterranean coast is that the flight is very short unless frantically pumping the foil which I don't enjoy. Any tips to remedy ? I have seen on youtube a video where the rider goes freeflying in strong wind with an eagle 1290 and a strike 3.5. It turns out that I have both of them but never tried the combo. Have you tried such unlikely combos ?

Question is, with the convenience of the quick mount board/mast connection, are the front wing ‘fuselages’ different lengths to compensate for point of lift as size increases or will we still need to move the mast position, as is the case currently with Phantasm, which would kind of defeat the potential convenience of quick mount mast system. Case in point, my G1007 is mounted 6 cm ahead of my 899 for same front foot pressure.
