With over 2500 hours in PoE 1 and really not liking PoE 2 this news simply means they lost a paying customer for over a year. Will GGG care? Prob not. But this is also not gonna make me buy another supporter pack for at least the next couple leagues. I just hope they don't use an upset player base that doesn't buy supporter packs next league due to the direct actions of the company as excuse to not invest in that game was much. because it didn't generate as much income.

poe2 is my first ever arpg top down so I wanted to try Diablo 4 to see which I like better and it’s on GP so didn’t have to buy it but man I’m so glad I did not buy it, poe2 I feel is way better now I’m not far in Diablo yet but I just feel like poe2 especially on console plays so much better then Diablo but I did like the opening of Diablo and the story so far even though I’m not far into it yet I like the scenes. I feel like crafting and all that kind of stuff is also easier to do and understand and combat is way better on poe2 but that’s just my opinion so far I still have to put more time in Diablo only a few hours in and I have over 200hrs in poe2 the more I play Diablo and get better and more fluid at the game I’m sure I’ll enjoy it more but I def don’t think I will ever think it’s better then poe2

I think even if they did say that I think they’re eventually gonna have to focus on individually one or the other at time means that was like a known given. I’m more surprised on not understanding that part, considering you only have so many people working on certain things and like pass out one in a way it is like a complete game just you’re waiting for new contact versus their new game. I think they should focus on it more versus the first one because the new one new engine, newer mechanics, and they’re trying to make sure they don’t make a mistake that other games have failed it. I think it is reasonable.

Overall best arpg I've ever played, PoE is harder and deeper, but the amount of fun I had paying GD would be simply not possible with poe because I can't spend my entire life grinding

I just don't know why PoE 2 exists. It realy doesnt expand on any of the systems from the first. I find asking the question "Am i even having fun?" and the answer is unfortunately, no. As for your "forgive one" take...this isn't just "one". They promised A LOT with this release and it came up SO short. This isn't the first time they messed up. This isn't the first time they've gotten backlash. In fact, many of the things they previously got backlash for, they're trying to re-intergrate into the second game. it's like they're trying to tell us how to have fun. I'm sorry, but moving slower than a snail, and being 1 shot by white mobs and constant on death effects arent fun. The fact that they delayed and deliberately LIED about the development of PoE 1 shouldn't be a "forgive one" thing. They should have said something MONTHS ago, instead they gaslit us until they literally couldnt anymore and had to come clean. Sorry, but i disagree with your "forgive one" take. Im sick of hearing this. D4 is hands down a better game than poe2. Story, graphics, character looks. Thanks for not forcing me to play a bull dike btw. Much better experience imo. 200 hrs wasted in poe2

playing a Savagery/Primal Strike Shaman/Soldier, and exploding everything with lightning is very satisfying.

No early game fixes at all in any point and it took answering to my mail/ticket well over a month is what is keeping me away from POE2. I had an bug in game shot. I was buying stash slots etc. and for some bug it bought me one tab two times. After i would say 1.5 month they answer to me via mail. At that point i wasn't interested anymore to answer back at them...

I’m old as f*** so I played games when you bought a cartridge if you wanted, if you didn’t like the game whatever.. no guarantees. I think with this whole Poe thing what gets me is PoE players thinking because they enjoyed a game or spent money, that this company has some inherent obligation to them to never move on. You bought a supporter pack? Ok so you chose to pay x amount to get x amount micro points and some stuff depending on what you paid. Once you receive that, that transaction is done. You can do that as many times as you want but your not buying like stock or rights to a game to the point where you can say a company owes you something or is wrong for moving on to a new game. Did you think PoE 1 was a rest of your life game and never planned to move on? Ever think “ok maybe paying $1200 for this game is too much” especially since you still play the same game? You know what I got for $1200… a OneWheel. It’s so sick. I have bought stuff but only what I need and want and never pay money toward games feeling “now this company is going to treat me how I want and they will update my game forever.” It’s a personal decision, video games are a waste of time and money, but in a good way. If you like a game, and choose to buy stuff, you can only be angry at yourself if that doesn’t work out. Gaming industry is trying to cater to childish complaints at this point.

To me there is one point that annoys me. If one critised POE2 on the forums, or gave feedback in regards to changes, a lot of people would come down on your, screaming "Go back to POE1m this is not POE1" and so on and so forth. The mods on the forums did nothing to reign those guys in, did not even react most of the time. Which tells me, that GGGs view as well, otherwise they might have curbed that behaviour somewhat. And now... they are not even working on POE1 and POE 2 may have the POE name, but is actually a bad dark souls clone. So yes, my trust in that company is gone, and won't come back anytime soon. But I also would have preferred a complete campaign in POE 2 and a LOT less focus on the "endgame": please develop the GAME first, before putting time on the aftermath

I play both D4 and PoE2 and despite what it looks like, because of the big skill tree in PoE2, D4 has more customization and builds. D4 is underrated in build complexity because all the build options are menu based and so spread out between different systems. It's easy to get a decent build in both, but to get max out of D4 you have to really get 3 or 4 skill systems working together with some different system interactions. As a thing to prove my point, there are hundreds of skills in D4, but in PoE2 the huge skill tree only really has 5-6 major nodes per class section and the rest are just stat increases. D4 has skills in affixes, paragon, normal skill tree, gems, and usually seasonal powers. That's like 10x the skills and customization in PoE2. PoE2 currency system is also fake depth, so the devs don't need a reason to design good gear. Why not just have gear of varying degrees drop, it's a layer of tediousness that really would accomplish the same goal. Feel like just because D4 organizes everything so well and separates the systems, people get fooled into thinking there isn't much customization.

The writing was on the wall for anyone paying attention. PoE2 is pulling in PoE1 launch day numbers every day two months after release. I'm surprised they still promised a 3.26, which I'm not looking forward to honestly. I'm not ready to remember how clucky that game is.

Primary issue is this is even for GGG level of reputation,.. its false advertisment, lying, manipulation to buy stuff and more lying. GGG reputation have been built on trust. They fucked up many times, but I do not remember a single moment of even similar magnitude, where they would be misleading and lying. This is new for them and its dead-end. GGG will ethier fix this situation in a week with some sort of band-aid solution (Phox league etc), or they will ignore this and inevitably move towards usual AAA publisher behaviour, loosing all trust gained over years, within a few weeks.

POE 2 is the perfect speed for me. I’m not much of a hardcore gamer nowadays. But I still manage about 4 hours a day in the evening. I think I’m currently around 250 hours in. And I’ve yet to clear all the content in the game, not even close. So if leagues happen every 3 months in this game, I think I’ll stay on standard until I sufficiently “beat” the game. For me, I think that means I’ll play every other league or so. Or I might just stay on standard forever and make an alt when I’m done. Either way, loving the game

It's smart because it avoids internet brigading; if they had been transparent from the start it could have just ignited an overblown hate towards the game completely out of context or completely out of proportion. Also, I bet this sort of thing happens all the time -- think of how many unannounced projects there could be that probably required resources from devs that already are working on live-service games? If anything GG is again being *more* transparent than the norm.

They need to do something about how much its using CPU right now, something they have done in recent patches has made me to lower all graphics and its still doing way too much. So i aint playing it that much anymore

I like the game im just not liking the end game The 1 death per map is BS thats the only reason i stopped playing Im playing regular, not hard core Im fine with lossing some xp on death but needs to be lowered to like 10% not 15% and when u are almost finished with a map and u die at the end to go back and die at the end again by some 1 shot BS Makes u feel like u are making no progress at all If i wanted to play hardcore i would play hardcore...
