Well, the clogged cat CAN stop your engine to work propperly, but only if your car have dual cat and the first one turns into ashes and goes into the other one, clogging it totally, rare but not impossible to happen, it happened to me on my old ford F-350, clogged cat just get the engine to run funny, loss of power first, then the gears started to slip, and finally, the engine shutted down, and after trying to fire it up, the engine doesn't started, i put the transmission down thinking of a bad torque converter, ending with a super clogged cat, so yes, it can cause your engine to fail and don't run to life, if your car start to get slower than it should, then you start to notice the engine sound gets quieter and quieter, and finally, if even in park you can't start it or the engine runs but hesitating, shaking and doing weird noises on the middle of the car or even work but start misfiring, and then shut down, check your cat, the best you can do if your cat can be removed, remove it and start the engine, if the engine run propperly without misfiring, accelerate like it should and the odor isn't too bad like raw gasoline, then your cat is clogged, so then you know, also, on the cars with cat screws who have springs, you can start the engine normally, but when you accelerate you can hear like a wastegate or a pshhhh while accelerating, that's the cases where the video have sense, when all your exhaust is "fixed" (welded all across), or all the screws don't have springs on them, then you could end up with the same problem like me😅😅😅

After enduring 1 1/2 minutes of being repeatedly told what the video would show us, I had to tap out at Sign #2 -- Lack of Basic Counting Skills.
