Most pc cases have a standard size mounting spot. The victus power supply won't work with normal cases unfortunately

Hey man! Me again with the hp vitcus desktop and I have a question. I just opened up my pc to look at the power supply and my idea is i want to upgrade to a 3060 - 3060 ti. For this I would need a 2x4 pin wire for that GPU. I checked and open my pc and the only one I saw was a 2x3. I found a 1x2 wire next to the 2x3 and saw it can kinda go together. I’m I right or do I need a new power supply?

Yes, you are correct. The 8 pin connector is a 2x3 plus the 1x2. The 3060 would probably be fine but the 3060 ti draws 200Ws of power. I recommend the 4060 most of the time because it draws 110W and is slightly better performance than the 3060.

I don't know for sure how the mounting is on this cooler. It would have to be one that would mount from the front side of the motherboard because this motherboard has threads set where most motherboards just have holes for a back plate

Each case cost money, some $.40 some $8. Each case you open requires you to have a key that is a flat cost of $2.49. So everyday, I'm spending around $10 to make these videos... and I'm hoping I can end it soon 🤣 hope this explains the case opening! Thanks for watching

The factory case has slots that the outer panel mounts to. The case doesn't have any mounting spots for a glass panel.

Yes. The usb mic is run through your pc but the interface controls the output of the mic and monitoring for your headset

Thank you! Mine really needs a cooling upgrade as well. With respect, the default cooler (HP 644724-001) and recommended cooler (Vetroo Shadow) are both 95W TDP. Then what other specs should I look into? Is Vetroo Shadow actually better than 644724-001? Thank you again!

There isn't a big difference. The primary purpose behind doing this video was to show that you could change the cooler. These are pretty similar and really just a cheap alternative.

Hey I need to ask a question my victus 15l constantly gets high fps drops in any game in fortnite I was at 120fps then it dropped down to 30-20 and it was stuttering then it went back to normal it does this every time the only way I fix it is to reset the gpu then it’s normal but it only lasts 20 minutes then it goes back to that stuttering and fps drops do you think it’s my gpu it’s the rtx 4060 or is it my ram because I only have 8gb of ram and I saw that bad ram can cause fps drops and stuttering I just wanna ask if you might have an answer

Upgrading your ram is one of the first things I would do. Another is running the DDU (display driver uninstaller) from guru3d.com and uninstall ALL drivers. Then run GeForce Experience again and install your gpu drivers.

So the 7000 series CPU are going to be when AMD changed the the AM5 chipset so it is different than the 5000 series. I would recommend going with a ryzen 7 5700g to add two more cores for more processing power.

I saw your videos on the victus hp desktop upgrade and I have a question. Is the 4060 able to run games at high graphics? I have the amd rx 6400 and that can run low-mid graphics at best you’re the only guy I know that has my exact computer!

Some games may not be able to run on high like Elden Ring just because of how intense they are, but the 4060 is a great GPU for most games.

The 3060 12gb does have more vram but the performance is still better with the 4060. Also, Nvidia just announced they are about to stop production of the 3060 so I can imagine there will be a bump in the price soon.

@Hatzu000 if you have a 3060, I wouldn't go to a 4060. It's only about a 5% difference. I only recommend it if you're buying a new gpu for the victus that came with the RX6400.

I thought all of the HP boards had Intel backplates regarless of whether it was a Ryzen or Intel CPU in it. Assuming I am true then you would need the Vetroo Eclipse not the Shadow. I of course could be incorrect and maybe there was a change in their boards.

It is the intel mounting configuration. The cooler I user was for an intel cpu and I didn't need the back plate. The eclipse is for lga 1700, the shadow is for the lga 115X and 1200

I would not recommend the RX7600 because the power consumption is 190W. I would highly recommend the rtx 4060 for the best performance! amzn.to/3YqpLOX

In that case, it would be an option. I highly recommend the 4060 to amd. May be personal preference but the Nvidia gpus are easier to update and run smoother in my opinion and experience.

@duzzzels3063 so the fifine interface will be connected through your computer audio and you will control the level with the fader on the interface. There are detailed instructions in the manual that explain how to set that up

If you're looking for a good gaming pc, I would check out some deals on other prebuilts pcs. If you get rhw victus, and add a gpu and ram, you may have around $800 invested. If you look for companies like cyberpower, you can find pcs with 4060s for around that price! Hope this info helps and thanks for watching!

What gpu do you have in it? Crucial has a great ram kit that won't reduce the speed. The ram can't be adjusted in this pc because HP has the bios locked down and won't allow you to adjust it. I'll post the link to the ram below. amzn.to/4bI6r2E

Ok, after looking at benchmarks of the 5600x and the 4060, it appears the cpu is only running at 50-60% usage. You don't necessarily have to upgrade unless you want to. If you do, I would recommend on of the ryzen 7 5700X cpus. That would have 2 more cores and similar power requirements as the 5600x

In the video, you can see how the front io is built into the motherboard. Most cases aren't set up this way. Also, a normal power supply wouldn't work with the motherboard without an adapter and most connectors on this motherboard are proprietary so it is specific to the case

Or - just upgrade the Fans ( back and cpu ) inside it for better air flow and call it a day The Machine is nice but the issue is the small chassis If i'm wrong please correct me

Step by step: Search geforce experience in Google. The first link should be the nvidia website. Find the download geforce experience button. It will install and you will open the file. It will automatically detect the latest driver and install it. Then restart your computer and you're good to go! Let me know if you run into any issues
