There's definitely a lot of randomness to the item drops.

This is definitely the same difficulty as the original. They basically just put fancy graphics on top of it and made it run on modern systems. I've played other early CRPG's that do the same thing, where you can just get obliterated in the very first battle.

I beat the game at the end of this part, so I didn't have any plans at the moment for doing more on this one. I'll likely be playing some other Wizardry games eventually though.

I was worried that my food bar would run out too fast, and that kills you when it's empty. That was just before I found out I had the food ring that keeps the food bar from draining, which I find out from testing at 1:24:19. I also thought one of the items I had would maybe do healing and I was trying those out at 1:23:10. I was mainly just trying to keep from spending any resources as long as possible.

@@elcasho Well, I was also only on the 2nd floor of 18 and could reload whenever. I wouldn't have tried that if I'd been playing on hard mode with permadeath.

No, this is an official remake of the original Wizardry game by Digital Eclipse. The video is from when it was still in early access, so it wasn't completely finished.

@pbdoughboyy thanx for the reply I do like wizardry allot, and have some thoughts on how it could take some modern market share so I'm just sayin.... I couldn't really enjoy your video because I couldn't unhear the DQ music.... and it bugged the crap outta me I hope to see a new wizardry but I think this is gonna miss the mark for me....

If I follow what you're asking, there isn't a native way to play the game in 16:9 since the game was made back years before that existed for computers. You would have to mess with the DOSBox settings to stretch the image from 4:3 to 16:9 and it would probably look really bad.

I'm not familiar with Faery Tale Adventure 2. Looks like an interesting game, I'll have to keep it in mind for the future if I can find it myself somewhere. Dragon Lore could be similar to Lands of Lore 2, there's quite a few games in that style from that time frame.

Yeah, that room always felt like a bit of a troll with that treasure chest in there to bait you. The place I was stuck for like a year as a kid was the Wraith at 8:46 since I didn't know about how you're supposed to activate the special torch. I ended up having the one other kid at school that played it tell me how to get by that part.

Yeah, I definitely agree with you there. It had a bit of the feel like they were just trying to ride the success of Out of This World.
