Thank you for stirring up beautiful memories. Do you know if the pic at 4.43 is close to Bridge Road, which is steps away from the foot bridge you climb to go to the Pavilions Mall? Thanks indeed 👍👍

To anyone who cares … Shoeburyness does NOT “face out to the ocean”.

Having watched this I simply HAD to check … according to google maps the A13 meets its ‘demise’ somewhere in Shoeburyness, as it joins the B1016.

Was on the good ship Uganda in 1971 - I learned that poverty wasn't not having cheap trainers - not having a solid floor in your house -as we witnessed in the Azores is poverty. We mixed from both sides of the West of Scotland divide and found that neither of us had horns ! We discovered friendly people where we stopped and came back realising that people are people where ever you roam. I will always be grateful for the voyage and the facts of life it taught me.

In my memory the pub was the Roundabout and the transport cafe was Charlie Browns. Have I been wrong all this time - was it Ted's cafe (rings a bell), so what or who was Charlie Brown who gave his name to the road junction / roundabout and is still known by that name?

There were😊 a lot of "bent" coppers in the force back then, c.i.d. and the "flying squad" probably earned more in "bungs" than wages. But that doesn't mean that they were all like it, though....

Good Old STOGS - was there from '57 to '64. I recognised all the teachers and many of the older lads, particularly in the science labs and orchestra. Never regretted going there - a great grammar school serving the inner boroughs of London. Thank You, LondonScreenArchive - a treasure for all of us who remember our alma mater. Now it's a hotel! Nicely decorated but not the same!! Cheers - Dai.
