Maya in the show, is known for being strong and passionate. And we know, she doesn't care if people make fun or anything and she defends herself if people try to "contain" her. Though whenever Lucas comes, it looks like she lets her guard down.

The fact that the writers had to make farkle and maya a side plot to reunite riley and lucas really proves that their relationship was forced. They used farkle on New Year's to make a love triangle and they used "maya become riley" to make rucas endgame 😂. Seriously, even after Riley and Lucas officially became a couple, the writers continued to cut their cute scenes and keep them from acting the way a couple should act. And the fact that Peyton is closer to Sabrina and Rowan is closer to Corey makes them have more chemistry than Rucas. And Rowan feels more comfortable with Corey than Peyton

Ok, I don't get the comments...I don't liek Lucas at all...so Maya fell for him, yeah, and at first he made her kinda believe that he also has interests for her, but in the end, he always was in love with Riley... Riley and Maya were always like :"what do we do about Lucas?" I" like him, but you can have him, if you want him." "But I'm not sure, you're also in love with him" Which kinda means that they were throwing lucas to the other girl like a ball...and that without even let Lucas decide... And the part why I don't like Lucas...he kinda let everyone think that he couldn't decide between Riley and Maya but Ig we all know that he always had more interests in Riley than maya...he was jeaulous when it was about Riley and all that stuff...and he made all that indecision things with Maya and Riley, just because he found out that Maya fell in love with him...I guess he wouldn't even think about a relationship with Maya if Riley Haven't said anything...before that campfire, he just wanted Riley to be his girlfriend...and then he made Maya believe, she could have a chance with him... growing up i always shipped lucas and riley, i always wanted a friend like riley and i wanted to be like riley but now that i think about it i was just a kid and i didnt understand that riley was such a bad friend to maya she was always so selfish and maya did every thing for her. maya and lucas had such great chemistry and they were honestly meant for each other. i hate how i thought that riley and lucas should've ended up together cause maya and lucas were good for each other and should've been together. Maya was her own person and i really wish they showed that more cause i really was just a stupid kid thinking that riley was a great friend, not saying she was horrible and toxic but she was never happy for maya she never did anything for maya but maya did everything for riley.

It bothers me so much that the writers destroyed all of Maya's development just bc they wanted Lucas to be with Riley, so they needed her out of the equation (let's be honest, Lucaya's chemistry was undeniable). They wanted us to buy that Maya was now “good” bc she was actually behaving like Riley all the time. It felt so forced. It would even have been better if Lucas hadn't chosen anyone.
