This would be really cool in translucent with some alcohol inks instead of the mica powder. I wonder how that would turn out. And then if it does mimic stain glass, I wonder how that would look hung up in a window. 🤔 i’ve always wanted to work with stain glass too. There are so many things I want to learn. That’s a problem of mine. I used to do scrapbooking. I can’t even tell you how much money I have wrapped up in that. Then I got into cake decorating and did that for quite a while. Even wanted to open my own bakery. So I took some college courses in marketing and business. But in typical fashion, I did not follow through. Then I started watching tons of videos about make up and spent literally thousands of dollars on high dollar make up. Followed up with wanting to learn to do nails. And in typical fashion spent thousands of dollars on that to never learn to do it. I never really even tried. So I still have all of that. Then after that, I got into doing resin so I have lots of resin molds. I still do that, but then I found polymer clay. And I also do Mandas and rock painting. But one nice thing about still having a lot of that stuff is that I can use some of The products from one and use them for another. I also bought hundreds of dollars worth of glitter to learn to do tumblers. And pretty much all of this is still in their original boxes. I have far too much to try to sell on Facebook marketplace. So I’m considering opening up a booth at a flea market or something and just trying to get rid of it. I have a real bad problem withjust, trying something and buying the minimal amount of tools and then going with it if I really like it. Nope, I have to go all in every time lol oh I forgot one Perler beads lol

@@MREStudioDesigns I watch lots of other videos about polymer clay and if I think somebody else would enjoy or benefit from another channel, I will share it. Somebody that I really like is Sweet Mini Dollhouse. As the name implies, she does miniature work. She’s out of the Ukraine and oh my goodness she is really good and I am just totally blown away at how well she does with such small stuff. She even makes small flowers. That I don’t understand! I don’t know how she can manipulate her fingers to create such small things. But I think she’s been doing it for quite some time. At least 10 or 15 years I think.

@@MREStudioDesigns I made some cauldrons last Halloween. But they were nowhere near this cute. I made some bubbles and have them going down the sides of the cauldron. Pretty cute for being new. I can never seem to come up with my own ideas. I’m not very good at that part. what I usually do when it comes to anything artsy is take other peoples ideas and make them together. Or take something and tweak it a little bit. But on your other video where you trace your design onto the black clay and then use mica powder to color it, I thought I could use some of my stencils I use in my mandalas. So I’m going to give that a try! Wish me luck! I keep thinking about possibly doing a KZbin channel, but I get very nervous and I would be stuttering and tripping over my words. But I also thought about doing like a lot of people and just focusing on my hands and showing what I’m using. But I’m terrible at editing, I’m just not good with technology in general. I’ve got two adult daughters and two grandsons that are nine and 11 and they are better with it than I am! I went to college about 10 years ago. I graduated from high school in 1992, so this was my first time to college, I was so anxious about using a computer to type up my work and submit it. Yes, that’s how bad it technology I am. I had to use a computer at my job. but they had their own software and what not so I knew how to use it. I even took a computer class. But I have great penmanship so fortunately, most of my teachers allowed me to hand write things and turn them in. But in one of my classes, I had to do a paper and I had to do it on the computer. I already have high anxiety on a daily basis, but man it was through the roof doing that, I am incredibly sorry for the very lengthy comment. I’m a talker. And I use talk to text and sometimes I don’t realize just how long the messages until I submit it and then I look back and I’m like OMG nobody’s going to read that lol
@MREStudioDesigns7 ай бұрын
I am one of those people that will read the whole message. It takes a lot of practice to get better. When I first started my pieces were what I would call "cookie Cutter" . I get my inspiration from many places. Stained glass, Paintings, even nature. You never know what will strike you. Right now I am looking at a dress and thinking that pattern would make great earrings. :) Keep on creating!

Beautiful! I enjoy working with Translucent too! I am about to try UV Resin for first time on my polymer clay creations. Why did you use 2 types of resin on these?
@MREStudioDesigns10 ай бұрын
I use a thinner UV resin for the back of the piece so it is flat. I use the thicker UV resin for the front where I want it to dome. I hope this helps. Thank you!

My roller is 1 day old and everything now sticks. So i dont think my issue is the same. My acrylic block also sticks and just started using yesterday
@MREStudioDesigns11 ай бұрын
It could be a couple of different things. You don't specify the type of clay you use, but it could be too soft. I use the Sculpey Premo. The only color I have a problem with is the Reds. They are softer than the other colors. Or, there may be some kind of coating the the acrylic. You can try washing them with soap and water, dry them and buff them with a polishing cloth or some denim. Please let me know if this helps.
@Lifeofamadtyper11 ай бұрын
It was a super dry super hard fimo i was trying to condition. I looked at the reviews for the things i purchased and found that its a problem with the acrylic tools i ordered as it was happening to everyone whose reviews i read that were recent so it seems like its an incompatible material and not actually acrylic.
