I'd just get one EV daily drive as a chore. And for fun? A gas-guzzling sport / muscle car

I am probably the only person who thinks the new Ferrari looks cool. It gives me retro-futurism vibes. Most people hate the black bar at the front, but I seem to like it. It really does need a V12 though.

To me driving is still a very fun activity. Yeah sure, my car is a crappy 2001 Renault Scenic, but I can still have a lot of fun in it. Like going 100mph on winter tyres or going offroading in it.

I think the government will just capitulate to ICE cars. Yes, they will still move to more efficiency and lower emissions, but hybrids are a far more reasonable stop gap. Then there's America, and we would resort to burning wood before doing an ICE ban. I mean that literally too, there's literal wood gas-powered cars in parts of Alaska.

Same thing we are now. The gas car bans will probably be lifted. The first way they could be lifted is governments finally realizing that EVs are shit, and they lift the bans. The second way is we force them to lift the gas car bans, remember how banning alcohol went for the US back in the 1930’s?

Simple fact is that there are not enough chargers. The chargers outside the Tesla network are notoriously unreliable at times, charging stations broken and left unrepaired, slow charge times, and lack of maintenance are all problems they suffer from. I think that EVs work on the two polar ends of the spectrum, they either work well as daily drivers who don't ever get out of the city, (as most Tesla owners use them) or they work for high-end track super and hyper cars that make use of the acceleration. Electric cars are going to end up being the modern equivalent to a Corolla overtime because maintenance on them is minimal, they offer home charging, and they get you to where you need to go for very little money.

I think the problem is your definition more than your issue with manufacturers. The cars you are talking about are "exotics" not supercars. A 911 is a sports car not an exotic. A "supercar" is something like a F40/50/Enzo/La Ferrari or a Pagani or koenigsegg or bugatti. Even a 296 GTB is at best an "exotic" and not a supercar let alone a hypercar.

All the Teslas I see in my small tiny city areN'T company cars BTW. Yeah, Teslas aren't company cars, and if, definitely not a Model Y. Companies don't need the most practical EV in the world. And I see Teslas everywhere and we don't even have a dealer in Slovakia... And all Porsches I see are the Taycans. I rarely ever see a Panamera nowadays. I use to see the Macan and Cayenne a lot as well, but the Panamera, 718, 911, NAH never lmao.

If you look back 10 years ago, there were a number cheap cars under £20k. Non-essential features like keyless entry, full powered seats and internet capability use to be optional extras but now are standard. Keyless entry is not essential because they are vulnerable to being hacked and stolen.

Lol, try putting another badge and see if people think it's from another brand? Are you blind? Tell me what brand it looks like? It doesn't look like the 458 speciale, F40, sp3, Enzo.... I knew you had no idea about what you are talking about when you said the Roma looks like an Aston, NO all GT cars from 60s Europe at the time looked like Astons you can go through some pictures by doing a Google search.

Tbh... i don t agree... a few years ago there was a problem that all cars looked the same (previous gen mercedes for example... you could not tell s from c class apart)... there is beauty in variety, and everybody was bitching all cars look the same. I strongly think that designing a car in the brand to be "cooler, futuristic, edgyer and a mix of them" while keeping in them with the brand identity is the way to go. We need variety

The more I look to this car, more I like it... I think a smaller engine block will be beneficial for handling... This thing should be amazing on track... It lacks sound, definitelly. They bring to this car the same treatment the f50 had, F1 tecnology...
@horsepower52312 күн бұрын
As they say: Haters gonna hate. Some people like the F80 and some people don't. That's how it always is with all cars. I personally like the F80's radical spaceship looks. It's different and bold and you can definitely see the design evolution from F40, F50, Enzo and LaFerrari to the F80. And the V6 is just not any random V6, it's a two time Le Mans 24h winning V6. So there's nothing wrong with Ferrari wanting to show the F80's direct link with the 499P WEC Hypercar.

Bro you said it so right. I agree with you I read a good comment "Ferrari puts a V12 in a "SUV" and leaves the flagship with a V6.....really?"
