The second w in Warwick is silent. So it’s pronounced Worrick, like Yorick.

Thank you. I was curious as to the French scene. (my version had the translation). I wondered how many in the audience would have understood. Would this have been a class issue where the upper class (and some merchants) would have been the only ones? And I did enjoy how the Dauphin is not as beloved or esteemed as he'd like to think.

Thank you. ;) I actually finished the book 2-15-24. I was pronouncing her name the same way you were. I will definitely watch your videos on the other parts.

I just read the book Typee for my French classes, and we studied it for about 16 hours in a month. This novel is truly captivating, and Melville has an amazing pen. The fact that it is both an adventure novel and a historical document is really amazing. I loved this book. Melville's life is truly inspiring; the fact that he went on the whaling ship Acushnet on his own and then lived this experience with his friend Tobias is astonishing.
