Why do you not use color float? You don't need it? Trying to get back into my passion. You do help
@signofthecalicogoose8367 Жыл бұрын
Happy to help! No, I don't use color float. I tried it once, but it didn't seem to make any difference to me, so I just use water. Hope you get your passion back! Please watch my video here on YT about floating with acrylics. If you have any other questions, please let me know. BTW I do have some Zoom classes posted on my site www.calicogoose.com/classes. The "Pumpkins" class is a great one to help with practicing skills. I also did a "Brush-Up on the Basics" class several weeks ago you may want to check out. Once you purchase the class in our Etsy shoppe, www.etsy.com/listing/1521910153/brush-up-on-the-basics-zoom-painting?click_key=a807814ddec4107a2ce4d3fdff1b30fc78b680b7%3A1521910153&click_sum=21d37f26&ref=shop_home_active_3, I will send you the link to the recorded class. Thanks for watching this video. Again, please let me know if I can help with anything.

Thank you for this instruction class. I bought an elegant pen and did a few flowers but adding more WC paint helps a bunch. 😊

If you're asking about the final shadow, it's a dark red/maroon. I probably used DecoArt Antique Maroon. Hope that answers your question.

Thanks for the refresher Barbara. When I learned decorative painting some 30 years ago, strokework was the first thing we learned. Love the demo on the leaf and I never thought of doing the jagged edge that way. Very clever indeed.

Thank you, Johanne! We started learning strokes as well, but today artists aren't as interested. Glad I could offer you a few tips!

I see that you did not use water or floating medium with the paint to shade/highlight....what are your thoughts/experience with this? Your work is so beautiful. Thank you for the tutorial. Okay....I just watched your video 'Floating Color with Acrylics' and this helps me. Thank you!
@signofthecalicogoose83675 жыл бұрын
Actually I do use water. Water-based paints need water as their "medium" to move. Sorry; I should have said that. I'm glad the floating video helped. If I can answer any other questions, please let me know. Would you like to be added to my email newsletter? If so, please send me your personal email. Thanks for watching!
