Thank you for the lessons! If "regina et nauta" is treated as plural, how come "ancilla cum puellis" isn't? Or at least, that sentence has a singular verb at the end, anyway!

When I tried to learn Latin where it was explained in my native language it led to some disappointment. But your approach hooked me. You have a wonderful ability to explain grammar starting from the problem. The example with the girl and the dog is just the best (I mean previous lesson).

Hey mom! You know what I said about Latin being a fun language to learn? Yea, it's not fun anymore...
@ememe14123 ай бұрын
This guy twists history. Instead of getting spoon fed, professor or not, look it up yourselves. Spanish contains only ~8% Arabic derived words and permutations thereof. Thats only about 3-4k words and a lot of those words have synonymous Latin based equivalents in concurrent use i.e. aceituna/oliva, alcancia/hucha etc. So this professor is innacurate in saying that there was a purge in the Spanish Language of Arabic words. If this was true, then how would an everyday word like 'aceituna' (olives) or 'alcancia' (piggy bank) survive when the latin variants survived and are well known? Another point about this are the toponyms in Spain. If there was a purge then why is Andalusia (Al-Andalus) still going by the Arabic derived name? Why isn't Sevilla called Hispani like it was before the Moorish Conquest? Instead the name is still from the derivative of the Arabic Al-Isibiliya... Sorry, once again this professor makes outlandish conclusions on whatever it is he uses as reference...

Latin is the language of the dead as there are no native speakers and who uses Latin? The people who speak it are The Roman Catholic Church and the Legal System, and refer to the person, not man/woman, and that is why God has no respect for them as it adds nothing to him.
