I'd like to hear Elliot and Rick Derringer play a song or five together.

Amazing song! Musically interesting but really grabs you very much like early Jethro Tull music….

Not happy about this .. I mean the idea to honor him is cool but you’ve just done a horribly bad job on this song and should’ve never been done

Damn the more i hear this song the I more I dig it. To top it off there's NO WAY I just listen to it once I have to listen to it at least 10x. The rhythm, sound, tempo gets me moving and then there's the message of the lyrics coupled with the band looking so damn cool top off with Gary's voice his presence the way he moves oozes of sexy Rock Star appeal. It all comes together oh so perfectly !

Spent many a night at Wongs both E and West in early 80's. This club was a unlikely venue but very successful. Very entement. 20-20 played all over LA. Big draw back then along with DuBrow, Van Halen, Naughty Sweeties, 707, Ratt, Great White, Oingo Boingo, Go Go's, and many more. LA was really buzzin back then.

Fantastic Rock music. Knew their name ( of course) but never got into their music . Must say I really like that. Think I'll dig for more.

These guys along with bands, Beat, Plimsouls,Twilley, (early) Motels and Romantics ,Rollers, w DF, Raspberries etc,, always kept me singing and happy, some of my friends weren't into this style, after listening to this, I don't think I will play it again, and wonder would I feel this way hearing all the songs I loved for the 1st time today, if I would still love love the originals (Like I do today) Have I changed that much? :)

Absolutely superb band. Saw them times when they played Birmingham. They played pubs and small venues. Great atmosphere. I remember having a pee at one pub and Glen was having one standing next to me ! We chatted about their next album. Quite surely!

Weirdly enough, I saw Tweke Lewis at the Hope and Anchor in '78 playing second guitar for Micky Jones. They did a song called "Sunsets and Silver Bullets" which stayed in the set after Tweke left and the slide guitar intro (played by Micky) was very similar to the one heard here. I realise it's not Tweke playing the slide on this, but it's still intriguing.

I learned of Stew and TNP back then thanks to the staff of Aron's Records, who made the first album their pick and had a box of the CDs on the counter; the only time I've purchased an album that way. Amazing to know that in the future after this Stew would have both a Tony-award winning Broadway play with "Passing Strange" (which he wrote and performed in, with Heidi Rodewald) and a very popular (over 20 million views on KZbin) tune from the Spongebob Squarepants movie, "Gary Come Home." And that barely scratches the wide range of offerings: thematic albums about James Baldwin, side bands like Baba Bibi, etc. I saw a show once in LA that was billed as "The Smiths versus Madonna" or some such. Early on he advertised that he would record a tune for you as an artist for hire and I have one of those that I cherish. He plays so rarely; I never skip a chance to see him with or without TNP.
