You never talk about supination of the right wrist at the top of the backswing with a slight drop of the hands at the start of transition. Is this a move that is not necessary with the stack and tilt or does it just happen naturally?

Glad you made this video, I’ve been using the HackMotion indoors with the Divot Board…and wasn’t sure I was getting accurate readings since I wasn’t hitting a ball. Seeing this will keep me practicing indoors.

I watch a lot of golf instruction videos, and rarely do I find a piece of information as valuable as the one you demonstrated here. I cannot say that I follow the "stack and tilt" discipline, but I like the brand you present as compared to other golf instruction content creators. This concept you explained here really got me thinking, because this was explained to me in the very first golf lesson I ever had, which was almost 20 years ago, now. Somehow I forgot about it! I've been down so many rabbit holes that I lost my fundamentals quite a bit. I must say that in the past 2 years, I have made significant progress and I no longer struggle to strike the ball. However, this video reminded me that of something I knew, but was no longer implementing, utilizing or emphasizing. Since watching this video, my ability to square the face at impact has significantly improved. It feels more automatic, and less cumbersome to get the ball to fly straight or draw. Thanks for everything you do.

I have a steep swing plane. I've been practicing a more shallow swing and noticed I am reducing my chicken wing by quite a bit. It wasn't terrible to begin with but noticeable. The tee under the arms drill really helps as well as the hip turn tripod. i'm 66 and wish I was more flexible.Thanks!

I was taught the "body release" method and I saw a slight improvement with my accuracy but I lost a significant amount of distance. I was hitting my 7 iron 130-140 using this method and I worked and worked on it. This method also is highly dependent upon using vertical forces in your swing, on the downswing slightly dropping down and then coming up at impact, thus using ground forces. I did this but found it still difficult and I went back to using my forearms as part of the rotation aspects of my swing. After I made this change I went from 130-140 yards to 155-165 yards. I think I'll stick to using my forearms in my rotation from now on.

Hey Rob, Can you use an impact bag with hack motion? I find I get a lot of flexion when I use the bag.
@hackmotion
@hackmotion 23 күн бұрын
We would recommend using plastic wiffle golf balls, foam balls, a divot board, or just hitting off a mat instead of an impact bag, especially during the off-season.

No question you get more club head speed. The problem is, where does the ball go? In my case, usually left and out of bounds.
@digitalshapes9501
@digitalshapes9501 25 күн бұрын
This generally happens because you over concentrate on forearm rotation and start hitting at the ball rather than continuing to rotate the body through to face the target. You may have a healthy P6 Delivery club face slightly toe down position, allowing you to have a more passive body release through to 4 o’clock (address 6 o’clock). Then you need to hinge your lead wrist and supinate your lead forearm while starting to fold it. Myles

What I'd like to know is, how are you supposed to get rid of both those angles before impact? Wrist rotation? Forearm rotation? Body rotation? How? It is a mystery to me.
@azcharlie2009
@azcharlie2009 28 күн бұрын
Hack motion appears to show there is a lot of wrist rotation all the way back, and until just before impact. However, if I try that, I hit the ball all over the place. If I want to hit it straight reliably, I have to keep the club square all the way back, and through the impact. But, I won't have near as much club head speed.

This is great? How do I set this up on the hackmotion app where the hackmotion is worn on the right hand? What are the parameters/numbers? As a right handed golfer, it is way easier to work the dominant hand.

I never understood why anyone uses a WEAK or NEUTRAL grip because that sets your thumb and your wrist hinging motion perpendicular to the swing plane, which in turn forces a wrist rotation movement during the swing. You need to twist your wrist 90 degrees going up and then back 90 degrees going down. Why the trouble? A STRONG grip ensures you will hinge your wrist in line with your swing plane, so it is one less movement you need to worry about. And as long as you setup the face correctly at address and do the things mentioned in this video, you are not going to overclose it and hook it (face control is given problem in golf, for all grips). I also get the wrist rotation movement may add an extra 5% power to the strike and perhaps that is why pro's use it, but come on, no one here is a pro and golf is already difficult enough.

@dddmmm21

One mistake I see, I do it, is setting your grip while your club is not at the intended impact position. For example I would set up with a vertical club not accounting for the shaft lean angle one seeks at impact, meaning I would over close the face despite believe I put my grip with a perfect square face.
@dddmmm21
@dddmmm21 Ай бұрын
Is it feasible to compensate with the other hand? Meaning for example you set your left hand strong (it feels more natural to me to hit on that angle and it also minimizes wrist rotation on the backswing) but then have your right hand "come over" the left hand as a way to put the brakes on a possible overdrawing?
