Old Video, but for those tuning in: Marvel Snap out of all online card games on offer to consumers has the least proprietary, most transperant matchmaking system. Marvel Snap uses AWS Flexmatch system, of which the ruleset schema, property definitions and example builds are readily availbible online to review, and test with web service kits. From the availible JSON properties, it becomes clear that for deck based matchmaking to occur in the timeframes taken to find an opponent: any, or all of the following need to occur... - Every opponent that counters or mirrors the cards in your deck is a bot that is matched against you after wait times kick in. - Your CL, MMR and Rank play extremely little, to no factor at all in determining your opponent through player attribute comparisons. - Matchmaking is lenghty, up to minutes at a time in ranked play. None of these are the case, meaning Deck based matchmaking is unlikely to be used in any capacity by Second Dinner. The elements used to match you based on cards in your deck (strings or assigned values) would be far to strict to match you against an opponent in your assigned batch, and form true statements amongst all players in the ticket batch simultaneously, within the timeframe it takes to find you an opponent. If it weren't strict enough to do this, and values and string importance is weighed by time and distance: then you would be matched based on the cards in your deck so few and far between, they would be indistinguishable from a random matrchup entirely, and not resemble the extensive amounts players claim it occurs. Suffice to say, it is extremely unlikely deck based matchmaking exists in Marvel Snap.

Yeah I'm stuck in early pool 3 hell right now too. So far it sounds like most of the pool 3 cards I've pulled are ones that are considered bad (with a few exceptions) but it really just seems like right now I can't really compete with people who just have access to better decks.

I feel 100% that match-ups are rigged, but that also there’s built in caveats for people who purchase the Season Pass (most) and other purchases (less). I’ve played too many times in a row and had last turn “winner cards” or completely dominating decks…same counters over and over.

It's 100% rigged. I can accurately predict my locations and opponent based on what I'm using

I am trying to claim the twitch drops but unable to claim for some reason I already did the 6 hours of watching and linked my account and my twitch so what is the problems with it?? Is it because I am using my phone or iPad for it ?

The developers are straight lying if they say it's not the case lol. I'm not even saying it is rigged against me. I just think their algorithm (which they must have) is biasing the match making in some clear way.

So many games I've lost and looked at the board and my opponents don't even have cohesive decks so much as counters to every card I played

its just shaped to make you play longer and more consistently over the season. If you are winning too much it slows you down with matches you're only meant to retreat from so you dont progress too fast. Think of it like a progression cap. Generally if you dont keep playing when you feel it rigging the matches you will get more normal matches the next day

Just wanted to say that F2P player or only season buyers can get 1 key or 2 keys per week, and not being available to choose the card they want, also the game needs a constant series drop at the moment there are more cards in pool 5 than in pool 4, Jeff was launched 1 year ago and he still in pool 5, and now days all content creators upload decks that only a few can really play, the rest of the mortals have to make them "worse" in order to not play the same pool 3 decks

Hey Wolver what do you think about SD only releasing one series 4 card in 2024 so far. Because all new cards datamined from today to May 7th are all series 5 cards. 1 series 4 card in 5 months seems ridiculous.

The Thanos variant was worth spotlights imo this week but to your point card acquisition is tragic in this game

The closer people get to collection complete the worse the spotlights feel. With the emphasis on variants growing, the lack of gold on the collection track hurts even worse. While I'm not playing the game less, I am feeling the resource strain more.

Same thing happened with me. Got Cull on 4th. It feels awful as I have the other two S4/S5 card.

Realistic spotlight opening! I am skipping more releases so i can grab two cards when i open. So far, not feeling like im missing out.
